.

I can hardly wait for the "Now that you know all the specs of ZL1, what mods are you planning" thread.

I am at this point quite pleased to know that as Fbodfather said, the beans have not yet all been spilled. I hope and expect that they have a few nice surprises for us & nasty ones for the competition.

I'm really wondering if the Moose-Tongue people will get the rumored 600-620 HP, and what we'll have to do to beat whatever they wind up with.

Because beat it, we must - not easy since we will be heavier, but it is our quest !

Camera is coming along. Apparently a special Beatle exhibit at the museum. 7 floors of Rock and Roll history. And the drive should be great. Actually drove the Z06 to the Detroit Tigers game (winners 4 - 0) tonight. I doooooooo so love an LS7.

Let them have 700 hp for all I care. They can't put it to the ground. And there are some places the ZL1 goes that they can't follow, no matter how hard they try. To name a few:

Looks
MagRide
Dual-Mode Exhaust
305 tires
IRS
....

I wonder if having a little extra weight is going to help in that area....... Orrrrrr does the extra weight negate the extra traction and power???

The way I look at it, as it stands right now...we've got the same, or more power. Definitely more torque. Similar transmissions. We're up on technology without a doubt, including a vastly superior suspension system, and what are promising to be wicked tires. There's also been aerodynamic and chassis/drivetrain work done to the ZL1 that I think will shock lots of people. And, if true, the Performance Traction Management electronics on-board will put it right over the edge.

I'm not too worried about a 200 lbs disadvantage. The equivalent of a passenger.
