12.9 @ 110MPH Considering that this came from Car and Driver, that's some pretty good results. And ur apologies are accepted.....

I had a honda crx with a JDM b16a2 vtec swap. The car weighed 1850 with me in it and had roughly 200hp at the crank. I was running 14.1s at rockingham,NC. That was with alot of wheel spin. I seen Turbo built b18c vtecs with close to 380hp. So be careful either way.

To be completely honest, an older honda/acura/nissan would be cheaper to get do a motor swap and do a large intercooled turbo....and beat a brand new v6 camaro. Honestly, used imports are so cheap that you could buy one and twin turbo it and beat a camaro ss for half the price of one. It really comes down to how much money and time you want to invest. Personally, I rather drive the camaro than drive a teenager looking car.

the new civic SI is a pretty peppy car but it has no torque.. you should be able to take almost all NA civics.. watch out for the turbo guys though because those cars are light.. and with the right turbo on the right B series engine, they are fast..

My bolt-on n/a rsx runs 13.5@102 at the local track (3500ft static elevation)
My new SS would struggle to run that number I'm pretty sure. Gut it like the rsx, with same mods, it would likely be a pretty good race. If you can drive, the Honda stuff can be fast. Truth is, most guys are too timid with them to see any real performance. You launch them as high as you dare, and shift them even higher. My rsx is a fun little ride, but the camaro is so much easier to drive and enjoy. A stock new si with a good driver should be low-mid 14's at most tracks. Bad driver, sky is the limit!!! I assume the v6 is a 14 second ride also, could be a race if the stars align, but otherwise, camaro would likely win by a length or 2. Trouble is most import guys do think their car is a rocket or something. I used to laugh at the teenage goons at the track that would come up to me... "Is that turbo?" Only because I just laid waste to the e-bay turbo kit b18 integra with no tune... The lack of general car knowledge is the biggest turn-off with that crowd. I like all cars, but when I tell you it has special muffler bearings and roller ball joints, the light should go on!!!

I wasnt grouping a nsx in with cvic/integra/280 zx...nsx is overpriced however, but so is a supra. I was referring to the cheap to get imports...not imports you could hardly find for sale. Didnt think I had to specify that

The notion that the NSX can't run high 12's outta the box? Ur perception of speed is TQ, as with many people. THe NSX is not the fastest but it ain't too shabby outta the box.

The NSX had like what... 210-220 lb-ft at like 5500-6000 rpm ? Yet it weighs 1/4 ton more than a Honda S2000.
