cruise details still correct?
guys, are the below details still accurate for the cruise next Sat? we have 187 members in our Edm F-body club...and i'm sure at least 25% have this on their calendar for next weekend. might see a few Firebirds show up for some fun also
we are scheduling a short run to Leduc for those who dont want to add the kms to their cars - or that dont have the hwy gearing. Here are the details: June 18, 2011 Edmonton Camaros will be meeting at the IKEA parking lot in Edmonton South Common at 8:00AM, leaving Edmonton 8:30AM. Calgary Camaros will be meeting at the Deerfoot Mall, the Sears Parking Lot at 8:00AM, leaving Calgary at 8:30AM. Meet in Red Deer at the Costco - 162, 37400 Hwy 2 - 10:00AM - 10:30AM. Take some pictures. Leaving Red Deer at 11:00AM. Rocky Mountain House is about an hour away.(We probably want to stop for lunch in Rocky.) Sask. Crossing is about 270km from Red Deer. This year we are planning to head North to Jasper, which is about 155km. We are planning to spend the night but have not picked a place yet, probably something with a pool for the kids. Some will be heading South to Banff, 135km. Last year we stayed at the Douglas Fir Resort. The place has 2 waterslides for the kids. www.douglasfir.com Please confirm your attendance so we can get a head count. All Camaros are welcome! Bring your Cameras! |

Do we have a rough idea of how many will be attending at this point? I've been emailing with the Calgary Camaro Club and a few weeks ago we were at approx 15 cars from that group coming so I booked Boston Pizza for 80-85 people...with the addition of the Edmonton F-Body Club it looks like I should increase the reservation, would I be safe to call Boston Pizza and increase it to 100??? I should call them today if that is the case.
If anyone is interested in pre-ordering we should also submit the orders before the end of the week so we are not at BP's waiting for too long for our lunch, PM me with your name and order and I will send it off to BP's...here's a link to the menu http://www.bostonpizza.ca/en/menu?sid=125 1 week today!!!

Hope it's not too late to jump on the bandwagon...thought I was going to have to work this weekend but the wife and I are free and clear! We'll be staying in Banff as we'll be visiting family in Calgary on Sunday.
It'll be our first time out...looking forward to it! |

I'm pretty sure this bandwagon doesn't have occupancy limit.

We'd like to have a head count if at all possible, we don't want to leave anyone behind. Could be epic folks. |

Just had an idea!!
Yeah... another one! lol
I saw on some of the pics from Camaro5 Fest that in the window of each car there was a card that said "Presented by" with the car owner's name, as well as their "Also known as" or forum nick name. I could design and print a whack of 'em and bring 'em along if all would like? ![]() Below is a shot of something similar...
