And just what do you call the 10s of millions of dollars they've spent since conception to bring the car back ready to be produced starting Monday?

Very true. They have done some advertising like in Transformers and through auto shows. Both of those could lead to word of mouth which can be more potent than any TV commercial.

For sure its not a perfect car. The interior may not be top-shelf, but overall, I think this car is heads and tails above the Mustang and Challenger. Its all personal opinion, but to me the Camaro looks much better, and has a superior chassis with the indy rear.

My only real gripe with car is how the front fascia joins with rest of car. The vertical seam along the side and top-side where seam meets front quarter panel doesn't flow with rest of car. Wish they had reworked fascia so the top portion was part of front quarter panel (thus no seam) on side or top of quarter panel, and had lower bumper portion wrap around and have a horizontal seam on sides. (similar to late 60's versions)...But oh well, its still a great car, and can hardly wait to get one!

Well in one of your previous post you talk about a fully loaded 2SS for 38k, does that not asume the upgraded interior option?? Again to me when equipt with the Inferno orange interior, personaly I think the Camaro has the best interior out of the Big 3 muscle cars. I will take the ABL on the doors of the camaro over the ABL in the cup holder of the Mustang any day.
Also I am not a chevy fanboy, I do give credit where credit is due.

P.S. If you have not notice, when fully optioned, like the camaro the Mustang GT is $38,000 ASWELL!!!!!

My hunch is that May 6th the big media blitz will begin. Well that's my hope anyway. Not sure what they're waiting for unless it's for the government check to clear?:flag2:

I understand and for most companies advertising would be a good idea. But with GM's current financial issues, the public perception that GM is just blowing money on advertising meanwhile laying off employees and borrowing money from the government would actually do more harm than good. GM had planned ads for the superbowl but cancelled those plans for this very reason. And although ads for the superbowl are expensive, they are probably the most cost effective ad spots a company can buy.

Ask me a few months ago and I agree. However the car isn't out yet. People would only be annoyed to find out that not only isn't the car on the road but even when they are, they'll have to order and wait a few months to actually get it. The ads will come in due time I'm sure. This thing is extremely high profile. Once people start actually seeing them, I have no doubt that the cars will sell themselves.

Sure, I agree that each car has there advantages and disadvantages. But is that alluminum trim of the mustang worth 111hp and 95lb-ft tq disadvantage, with virtualy identical prices? Personaly I don't think so. I personaly compare the camaro SS to the 370z as you do, because I have about a $35,000 budget, but the camaro has far more potiental for modding than the 370z that is basicaly tap out. Personaly If one is looking for Performance/practicality the camaro Has the best combo for the price IMHO. to each his own I guess.

well truth I have a bunch of people/websites that will show you the 370Z is no where near tapped out my friend. So I am not inclined to agree with that opinion although the chevy small block might be easier to mod, not any cheaper or more potential than the Z...
