I replaced my rear bumper for less than $600.00.

Not a big deal.

If you have full comprehensive and collision it is covered. You will be responsible for whatever your deductible is and your rate may raise. Call your agent for more info.

Depends on your deductible. This is covered by the collision coverage on your auto policy. Check your deductible to decide whether you should make a claim or not. If it's $1,000, I would not report it since that is about the cost of repair. Rates going up depends on your company, claim history, time as a customer and other factors.

I'm wondering the same thing. Maybe you have a defective sensor?

I hate concrete bollards. Rear backup sensors have issues with those sometimes.

I hope you get it fixed up like new.

Everyone hold your horses. It's hard to tell without seeing it in person but that may be repairable at a fraction of the cost of replacement although it will need paint work. From what I can see a good body man can use a heat gun and pop that out, everyone replaces the facias when they have the slightest damage but they are quite repairable.I would take it to a good body shop and get their opinion, the dealer will just replace it.

The sensor was reduced in sound when the sub for the speakers was plugged back in. I usually take a moment to turn everything down and off like the ac and the radio when backing up, but I didn't see the column at all so I didn't turn off the loud noises.

Call your insurance guy, your looking at a new bumper cover, possibly replace a bracket and some clips depending on whether or not any snapped and some paint, not a huge bill my guess is somewhere between 1500 - 2000 you'll be ok.
