L99 vs LS3 comes down to driver skill. Average to below average drivers and the L99 wins most drag races. Its only when the LS3 has a pretty skilled driver does it show its advantage.

And as you mentioned, the LS3s real advantage is at higher speeds. Off the line up to about 60-70mph, the L99 probably has the advantage (because it launches much easier off the line).

Here's the quote I hear from the LS3 boys at the track "those L99s sure get off the line fast."

The first point is not true in Canada. Starting MSRP on the GT500 is $59K, $48K on the SRT8 and $67K on the Vette. Even if you add $2K for the manual in the SRT8, it's still $9K below the GT500.

Ok not to sound like superior or anything, but Canada doesn't really count since the majority of these cars are sold here in the USA, so yeah for general purposes and not the expections, what I said is true.

The ZL1 will be the only Camaro able to deal with a 392.....so stop dreamin.....

12.3's is more than possible with a 392(its been done) and 12.4's are common

Wake up.......Most SS drivers cant get anywhere close to 12.9 at the track stock......thats the truth...

Hell at Camarofest Stock Challenger R/T's were beating SS's......

I like the SS...but when someone said 12.5 is possible stock in the 1/4.....you are smokin dope......

How the hell do you expect to be taken seriously sayin stuff like that??

In the US the SRT8 is probably about $5K below the GT500 and $10K below the base Vette.

You may want to look in the mirror. Last time I checked $43,780 was a lot closer to $44k then it is to the less then $43k you are stating. The 2SS base price for 2011 is $35,220, or more then $8k less then the SRT8. Sounds like you are the one trying to spread misinformation or exaggerate to me.

And 43 k I spent 31 k for my 2ss let me put that extra 12 grand in it and let's see who wins. And don't wine saying u can put that money in it too cus then you would have a 55k car. And if added that same money you will end up spending I will still smoke you. Camaro best bang for your buck nuff said.

With a STOCK 09 G8 GT I was beating 09' and 10' Challenger R/Ts. Race a V or ZL1 and let me know how that goes... because those cars REALLY DO RUN LOW 12's.

Show me the list of all the people that have run 12.4s in bone stock Challenger SRT-8s. And bone stock means stock - not with drag radials, etc.

I've already posted the list of stock Camaro SS's that have run 12.8 or faster.

How long will I need to wait to see this list of 12.4 sec stock Challengers? Like you said its common so it should be easy for you to produce such list.

He can make a list in 5 seconds, it will be as credible as his other post that didnt include time slips. He says Camaro guys are spreading misinformation, yet this forum has the slips to back up its claims.

Mustang guys with the Shelby GT500 are running 12.3s in a lighter car with more HP. I know I missed psychics class quite a bit back in the day, but I dont think I missed that many of them. Either that or the law of physics cease to exists once you buy a Challenger.

I think you should wake up. I like how most SS drivers can't come close to a 12.9 but yet somehow all SRT 392 can "ALWAYS" get the glory runs of this 12.3 you speak of. You see how you sound? Not to smart buddy.

Also like it's been posted a base 392 starts at 44,605 and thats with base price+destination and with the guzzler tax added in, add your green with envy package and that's an extra 1495 and then put tax at 6% sales tax and your at a total price of 48,866. So yeah like I said to much. I paid 37,762.50 for my 2SS and that's with a sunroof option and IOM color. 10,000 more for your car isn't worth it, sorry. Theres a reason the dodge is in last place and don't appeal to the masses like a camaro and mustang. And you can argue that until you are blue in the face but you will only be arguing with yourself cause there's no argument in what I wrote.

I like talking to Ford and Dodge guys... when the input is realistic. Radical claims just because a Dodge guy is in love with a 392 is a bit over the top

The 392 is a beautiful car but sorry no chance with CTS-V. This challenger needs 50 more hp due to the weight difference which brings it pretty close to the SS.
Folks at motor trend got their hands on one awhile ago.
