It's about the same as this is related to the gear ratio not the power... The SS just gets there a little quicker...

As it relates to power, I used to shift into 4th at 113 at the finish line of the 1/4 mie, now I'm shifting into 4th at the same speed, 113 - 115 mph at the 1/8th mile...

Wow now thats smokin' fast. I really wasn't talking about racing..just wondering how fast the stock SS will go in 3rd gear before the rev limiter kicks in.Thats quite an impressive setup you have there though.

Hmm didn't they repeal the national speed limit in 1995? I think each state now determines the maximum speed in their state.

It would be appropriate to say the V6 will exceed every state's legal speed limit. As does every car sold today, yes even a smart car, if you are going down hill with a stiff tail wind.

My SS has only been 70mph I couldn't imagine going faster than that....................
