Just noticed something really 'retro' about the Camaro

Hi,

Never even thought about this befor, but has anyone noticed the 'retro' pop-up lock. I didn't think most cars today have a lock like that anymore. Most are sliders on the door panel. It even has a retro pin look to it. NOt like the newer flat looking ones that might be on cars today

I know, it's a small detail, but after 3 years of talking about this car, what else is left?

that means that the mirror is 38.75% the size of the vertical windshield...
it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

I have never noticed that before, but if they are doing that for the sake of being retro, like the console gauge's....good grief.
My first gen had them, my later Camaro's didn't. Never for a second did i give it a thought. Boy i sure miss those things. What the heck do you need those for when you have keyless entry remote's?????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????

They must really want to corner the old timer market.

I don't think it has anything to do with being retro. I'm amazed that anyone cares one way or the other about this sort of thing....... and I'm anal!!!!!!!

Dang. I hate these kind of locks on doors that don't have frames around the windows like the Camaro. It's way too easy to get a clothes hanger in between the glass and rubber and raise the lock. :(

Now they can sell us aftermarket doorlock pulls. Hangar proof ones too!

It's just a round stub. No way you can use a hanger. In fact, I don't think you can even pull it up. When I got to the car at the jax show, the passenger door was locked but the window was down. I tried lifting up the lock, no go.
