Ditto!!! Right off the showroom floor. When I wanted to take it for a test drive the guy said they had the same car on the lot just a different color, I said if thats the car I'm looking at buying then I want to drive that one, and I made them move 4 other cars out of the showroom to get it out..

When I saw the Synergy Green 2SS/RS one without the overlay stripes I wanted it!! I was not going to leave without it..

think 1 of them could've delivered it to one closer to you. I know they were flying off the lots quicker than people could look at them when I got mine but now they could have. Either way you got what you wanted.

Got what I wanted without ordering. Didnt feel like waiting over a month for a mass produced car.

I did some shopping and found what I wanted and drove to get it. Looking back, I kinda wish I'd got the RS package as well, but I'm happy with what I got.

I originally did order my Camaro, but problems came up, and I had to refuse delivery on that car. It took a couple weeks of searching, and a manager getting involved to put the stock polished 20's back on her, but I was able to get my car exactly the way I wanted it. Spending this much money, there is just no way I was going to compromise. Besides, that's the vehicle, look, color, etc. that I fell in love with. Anything else would have just felt like, well, settling.

Did not order, but had first dibs on whatever Chevy sent when the 5th GEN was released, and it was specifically sent to be shown off at my dealer... Was a rally yellow 2Lt and I was blown away.

I've made the car my own with the mods I've done. Added 20" RS polished wheels, and kinda added things to make it my own type of rally sport. I actually didn't like the stock spoiler.

If I had of ordered I would have gotten a yellow 2SS/RS... I really would only want a V8 because of the larger selection of performance mods, and SC capability.

At the end of the day I love my car! I've made it unique and it's got plenty of power for normal driving.

Got a little extra with my order when came in, back up sensors. I wasn't charged for them either, not bad.

I went to 3 local dealers in San Diego area. The 2 closest to the 32nd street naval base had 3K markup right on the window sticker... so I walked without even talking to anyone. The 3rd was a little farther down the road, Jimmie Johnson Chevrolet. I talked to a salesman there for about 3 hours before doing the paper work on the only 2LT on the lot with a manual trans. (There were about 40 camaros on the lot, so the previous post about 12, that's not really a big dealer!) About 2 hours later, I was driving away in the car I wanted, and saying goodbye to my 2002 Grand Prix GT.

In 2009 I was on the order list at the dealership I buy all my vehicles from. It was November and I was ready to put in my order. This particular week I had off for vacation so I went all over town to look at what few camaros were on the dealers lots. I looked at a few cars, sat in them (at that time no test drives) just for fun I even test drove a bad ass black SRT8 Challenger it was nice but they want WAY TOO MUCH $$$$$$ for that car. That was Monday. Tuesday morning I decided to go to my dealer too check the wait list and try to place my order. I arrived first thing in the morning. As drove up to the showroom, I could see the roof of a white camaro over the top of a row of bushes that line the front of the building. I said "oooh that looks like a camaro". I started to get excited! As I rounded the row of bushes I saw the mail slot "oooh it's a super sport! Now I was really getting excited! I walked over to the drivers door and looked inside "oooh s#!t its an LS3! Now I was about as excited as when you reach that exact moment on a date when it hits you, "damn I'm gonna get lucky tonight"!

Just about that time, Sergio, my sales guy came walking out. He said " do you like it? We just got it in, and it's the only one I have available for sale"
I said "go get the keys" then I called my wife and told her " it's here, my car is here I don't have to order it"!

I bought the car that morning! A 1SS/RS LS3 Summit White w/sunroof.
I did not plan on ordering the RS Package or the sunroof, but the rest of the car was exactly what I wanted. With the dealer discounts I ended up getting the RS package and the sunroof for free anyway. Now I'm kinda glad I have the RS package it looks bad ass and I used the sunroof more than I thought I would.

I believe in fate. I was meant to have this car. I will never sell her. The end.

I used the USAA Car Buying Service as well. The gave me three dealerships that had my car matching to 100% of how I built it on the site. I called all three and went to the one with the best customer service and best service center. Easy day...the entire transaction took less than two hours from drive-in to drive-off AND free wheels and tires insurance, no deductable, for road hazards for 60 months. I could not be happier and the car is exactly what I wanted.

Appleway Chevrolet had exactly what I wanted. The only thing that might have hung me up is if they'd had a SG on the lot. I really like the SG.

The only thing that i didn't get that i wanted was a manual transmission. For one it seems i have not seen a dealer down here that even carried 2ss/rs in manual. I only found v6 manuals, in the area i'm at. Other than that i got exactly what i wanted.
