It says I'm moving when I'm not...

I was sitting with my parking brake on and gave it some gas so my friends kid could hear it and I got up to 10mph without even moving. It even gave me the parking brake on warning. So my question is, anyone else with a manual ever been sitting in neutral and give it some gas and watch your mph go up with out moving?

Yup every gm vehicle with an electronic speedo will do it. I'm not sure why but they all do.

You've got to me kidding me.
That's super ghetto. You'd think they'd fix this. It's not a "quirk", it's an issue.

Yeah, I've never noticed this before. Are you sure you weren't looking at the tach? J/K

I will be forwarding this question on to my technical department to get an answer for this question. Hopefully I will have something back soon.

I don't see how that's "Super Ghetto". And its not a big deal. Who really cares, it's not an issue.

I've noticed it also. The mph shows, and when you rev it over 2,000 rpm, the parking brake alarm chimes.

Want another weird one? Start you car and turn it off. Exit out the passenger side and the radio won't shut off.

It's like that in all Chevrolets or atleast the ones that we own. Stays on for 10 minutes or so and then shuts off to save battery. I climb in the passenger side & do this so I have radio when I'm cleaning the inside
