1SS/RS .... I drove them both before deciding. I was going to originally get the 2LT but then I decided some of the items that come with that, I really didnt need. I need A/C and thats about it. I went with the SS though bc it just felt more like a muscle car to me. I didn't like the exhaust tone (if its even there) of the 6. I put the GM performance exhaust on my SS/RS and I absolutely love it. Makes a huge difference in show apperance. But ultimately it will come down to your budget. Gas prices, fuel economy and how many tickets you want to risk getting.

Good luck in your purchase! In the end a Camaro is a Camaro and its amazing.

When I got mine the guy in me was screaming SS but the wife and logic spoke to me and I got the 2LT/RS. I love it, no regrets well about 90% of the time. haha. Yeah there are times I would love the v8 power and sound but seriously the 2LT has the power of several v8's I have owned in the past. the price is cheaper gas is cheaper and insurance is cheaper. Plus I have all the extras I have never had in a car. I love the 2LT, but it's really what you want the power or an awesome care with less expenses.

Drove them both and got the 2LT/RS (HUD is pretty awesome BTW). Its a DD and I still haven't been able to drive it to it's full potential...

Maybe if I was on a track I would wish I'd gotten the SS, but how often do you get to drive on a track?

SS or nothing. Me personally... if I can't afford the SS I want... I'd wait until I could or buy 1 used. If they make a V8.. than thats the only option IMO

I don't know what I'd do if I did it again, but I love my 2LT and am very content with it and everything it offers!

my friend, get whatever your heart desire.. most ss guys will tell you to get an ss, and most v6 guys will tell you to get a v6. This type of question come up at least once a week and sometimes does not last long before someone will start bashing.

v8 is a fast car out the box and has alot more options and possibility, but the v6 is coming up very very fast. I am almost positive that I am over 300rwhp with my v6, thats enough to give a slightly modified and stock L99's a run for their money. So your preference is what matters here.

In my opinion, you really can't go wrong either way.

Drove both, ss 1st then the LT. I really didnt want a v8 as a dd and spending all that extra money on gas and putting all this miles. If id had another dd i might of considered getting the ss and it would be my gsrage queen. Also all the extra money i would be paying for all that power that i will not be using all the time because i would not be stepping on it every single time unless a charger or challenger try to step up. Jk.

Op go with whatever it is u'd like and can afford. I rather spend my extra money on buying clothes, traveling and loving life with money in the pocket.

If it were really up to me and I could be insured, I would get a 1SS. I just like cloth over leather & the extra power would be awesome. But I'm more than happy with the 2LT and glad I got this awesome gift.

I had similiar thoughts a year ago and went with the 2LT. I'm sticking to my plan to upgrade to the Z28 when this Gen5 generation closes out. The SS isn't the ultimate car I wanted. There are plenty of 2010 LS/LT owners trading in for SSs. How many SSs owners are going to trade in for Z28s?

Meanwhile my expenses are lower, especially with the all season rotatable tires. Go for 1SS if that's what you plan on driving for the next 5 or more years.
