IIRC, there were discussions eons ago saying the Camaro would need to prove itself and if they could reach a certain number, then it would be viable. I think the original number bandied about was 80K units per year. If that's truly the case, I think they covered that and then some.

I personally think you will se a refresh in 2014ish but we wont see a 6th gen till 2017. It would coincide perfectly with the 50th anniversary.

Who's going to buy into this body style in 2015,2016,2017? Once the ZL1 and Z28 is out, all the past Camaro diehards will have bought a Gen5 and maybe even traded up for another Gen5. The Mustang will be out in 2014. Refreshes are great but they won't take care of the size, weight and visibility issues. This Gen5 is stunning but for a limited masses.

I will always have a Gen5 but I believe the Gen6 will be designed for a much more global audience, that's certainly the intend on the next Mustang. Something between what we know now and the Miata.

I just hope if you're right and they do make it smaller, they still make it so tall people can fit in it. One of the reasons I love my Camaro is because I can fit in it comfortably. There are not a lot of cars I can fit in being 6'9"

Right now, I'm diggin' my Gen V, and likin' it more every day. It's a perfect blend of muscle car torque, sports car handling, and luxury car comfort.

I'm NOT worried about the introduction of Gen VI.

2017 would be pushing it.

I would say anywhere from 2014 to 2016.

Keep in mind that GM usually keeps a generation around for about five or six years now...the current Malibu was introduced for the '08 model year and is being replaced for the '13 model year. Usually there's an MCE thrown in about halfway through, and IMO, the 2012 model year is the Camaro's MCE. New V6, new suspension, upgraded interior, etc.

Maybe go on a Gen3 diet. I'll have to look at the Gen3 footprint. It sure looks about the right size for a Gen6. A gen6 that looks like a Gen2 in a Gen3 footprint, that's the ticket GM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think he checks in as often as he used too.
At this point he is not signed on.
