DMH Performance Cutouts
The DMH Cutouts are awesome. We have installed many sets on Camaro's and Corvette's with excellent results. You can cruise around all quiet and when you want to go Nascar or John Force on some unsuspecting guy in his Mustang you just hit the loud button, WABAM.That guy will have to change his shorts. These cutouts are a lot of fun.

What are the details on the littler motors? Is everyone using the same 12V DC brushless motors? Who manufactures these motors for them and how are the opening sizes modulated to move from 10% to 50% open?

From what I've read *most* electric cut outs are either OPEN or CLOSED. I don't think there is an in between.

Not necessarily. I know with the QTP's, if you buy the optional digital controller, you can program two additional settings (besides just open/close) that the user can set to whatever percentage you want them open. For Example 50% and 70% open.

I talked to my local performance shop and they said that cutouts usually begin to leak after like two weeks.. Anyone having any issues with them?

So if it takes 8 seconds to fully open them, 50% on the fancy controller just turns the motor for only 4 seconds... or you could save some $ and count to 4. ... from experience though... you will want 0 or 100%, I never run mine partally open. (post#26 agrees) I haven't closed them for a the last few days. The only time I close them is for important phone calls and driving next to a policeman. If you mount them under your seat... you may be keeping them closed. heres mine: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...61#post3069961 Quote:
Mine are located behind the rear axle, so even if they do leak... I would probably never know it... or care for that matter. They must have used a no-namer.

Mine are under the seat... crazy loud. Only run open when I really want to bring the noise. Mounting in the back is much quieter.
DMH offers a 4 year warranty. Not worried about leaks. The DMH switch is a momentary switch and it takes a couple seconds to open fully. You can open part way but it doesn't sound that good. Open or closed. |

When buying the DMH cutouts it asks for the length you would like of the wiring harness cable. any suggestions?
