You can easily get your hand up through the intake to push on the filter to get the bolts started. As it is there really is no compression on the filter sealing surface.......at least that was the way it was on the copy I received.

I agree. You found the same thing as I did. But for now I'm keeping an eye on it. I bet VR would send us one of the pre cut foam gaskets to double stack if needed.

Have you gotten your replacement yet?

I decided to go with the CAI Industries Intake. MarlylandSpeed shipped it out yesterday ahead of schedule.

That was the first cai I tried out. The materials and build quality is top notch.

That is AWESOME to hear. Let's hope they got a handle on these quality issues. Oh, you are gonna love this intake. From my experience and people who have had others, no one is touching the performance of Vararam.

I actually bought it local NIB because he had an original 1st batch that had surge issues. They sent this as a replacement but he bought a vet in the mean time. Being I was leary about quality issues he let me open it up and inspect, its probably 3 month or so old but I see no flash or any other issues that folks have complained about or posted pics of or I would have went ADM street.

I also assume the 2 halfs are made to rock for engine movement?
