Lousy painter... lousy body shop.

Sounds as if they have no experience.

Should of took some pics as you drove by, so when they try to lie to you, you can shove it in their face.

Hope your problem turns around for you. Side note: another good reason to go to car shows. Plenty of people to talk to about car related stuff. I simply asked who they thought was the best painter in town was. After hearing the same name a few times, I felt confident for a visit. (I had a 7ft tree limb fall on my hood). The painter was about 5% higher than other bids I gathered, but absolutely worth it.

Talking WHAT GOOD PAINT LOOKS LIKE! :)

http://www.dusolddesigns.com/

Here's a link to a good buddy of mine and a truley gifted artist, he's painted two of my harleys for me one of wich is a Veterans Memorial bike I no longer own as a veteran brother of mine talked me out of it with way to much cash, that's another story though. I know the OP isn't in Texas but people come from overseas just to have mike do work for them, brows through his site and see what a real professional painter / body man can do. Mike's awesome and when I get Camaro painted he will be the one to do it! I will post some pics sorry the quality isn't better, the man is truely gifted! The Camaro isn't mine but Mike did paint it. The Harleys were mine at the time I had him do my design ideas, I still own the white / blue one. Enjoy, find a good painter, they're out there! Wish you luck!

It's obvious this shop screwed up this repair- case closed.
I can assure you your car as well has a small level of orange peel on it the same as mine and everyone elses. My response was essentially stating to the OP his car already has "some" degree of orange peel i never stated the words "excessive". I'm sure the shop didn't get it right but, a totally smooth as glass finish wouldn't be correct either.

It isn't as easy for many shops to totally replicate the factory paint due to the fact shops are not dropping the paint in powder form onto the car and then liquifying it in the baking process.

GOOD NEWS!

The car was down late this afternoon and I got it back tonight.

A couple of minor issues that need to be looked at but not as bad as their first attempt.

No point posting pics as it would look the same as every other IOM Camaro.

I knew it would work out for you. These people that are in the profession know what they are doing believe it or not. You just have to be patient with em. If you see something you don't like tell em. They will fix it. Putting pressure on them does not make it any better trust me.
