I tend to get less acknowledgment from V6 owners here in PA, I shrug it off as owners of "just another car."..

+1 Some are simply car owners. They see nothing else in a car but transportation and/or are simply A$$holes...

The guy probably walked in off the street and bought it because it was pretty. Do you think he really knows the difference between an LS and a SS just to look at it going down the road? Maybe, but doubtful. Point is, no need to stereotype. My DD is an Equinox. I don't pay a bit of attention to anyone else in an Equinox. It's just another car.

Mostly I seem to get waves from all the SS and v6 owners.. here in abilene everyone behind the wheel of a camaro period seems cool I had a 4th gen wave at me across 3 lanes of traffic lol.

I'm an SS owner now. I have owned two vettes and really enjoyed the corvette wave. Almost every vette owner would wave or acknowledge their respect and comradarie by waving.

I was looking forward to that with my new SS. Sadly, it appears Camaro owners in general don't even do that. I've done my best to wave, blink lights, or otherwise acknowledge my new Camaro brothers and sisters.. but, I've about given up.

So, if you see me and I don't wave, or acknowledge, now you know why. I will ALWAYS acknowledge back if someone gives me a thumbs up or a wave.

Most time I get a wave or a thumbs up but the other day I was surprised as this driver of a Black 2SS. Pulled up next to him and gave him a thumbs up he gave me a single finger up like F@!K U.

Perhaps it's the culture with some people, they don't want to make eye contact or something. When I drove a Corvette almost everyone waved. My wife has a Beetle Convertible and they do the same. When I drive my SSR they wave. I have not had anyone make eye contact yet in my SS. However I have only seen maybe a half dozen other Camaros so far and up in Jersey you have to watch the roads for potholes or you will need a new set of tires daily!

Let me get this straight, on the basis of one incident, you are accusing all SS drivers of behaving that way?

On another note, I am sometimes late to wave back, too busy with both hands on the wheel holding on to dear life...

OF COURSE I realize Camaro5 SS owners are NOT included in this rant. So don't get me wrong..The guy will probably trade it in for a 350Z or something later on....

haha just kidding. when I had my V6 everyone waved. not even just Camaro owners.
