Engine Braking is not bad for the engine as long as you are not over-reving it when doing so. You dont want to down shift so far that you are letting the RPMs go high (probably keep it below 4k) but otherwise it doesnt hurt anything.

YESSSS! My brother told me at night you should see blue flames at the exhaust tips in unison with the decel popping. Kinda like F-1 cars when they downshift, even NASCAR but its hard to see in the daylight.. We are going to see if it's true when I roll up to Reno next weekend

Hey everyone.
I have a 2013 2SS auto Camaro with a flowmaster outlaw cat-back exhaust. When I first start the car, i will hear some exhaust popping. However, when I am driving the car, I do not hear any popping whatsoever. For some reason, automatics do not pop as much.

I wish they would have added cooling/venting along with the heated seats :(

I like the pop on decel...sounds pretty cool, sounds even better with the NPP.

One of the best parts of the new exhaust is the POPS. Not so much when the state cop slid in behind me.
