Well, personally, I'm not big on investing in a depreciating asset. With that said if I do mods, if any at all, they'll be minimal. This will be my daily driver so I don't want to attract unwanted attention at any level. As long as the gunmetal five-spokes make it through to production (probably will as the Vette has such an option) I'll be good. An exhaust would be nice but so as long as it has a valve switch (ultra cool) to keep things quiet when I'm not B-road blasting.

I will wait and see what, if any, options GM offers, from the factory. And I really wish I had bought one of the special "dealer versions" (Intimidator SS ) when I ordered the SS. So, I will try and be patient, and order/buy exactly what I want. And leave it at that.

If I'm bitten by the 'Mod Bug', I'll satisfy the urge by further modding my '99 SS.

Personally, I prefer the "stock appearance". The "mods" I've performed on the SS have been done w/o changing the "stock" look, and I'm hoping at this point, that when I bring the "new addition" home, "he" will be exactly what I envisioned.

I'm already compiling a list of mods. This will include a thoroughly upgraded audio system, catback exhaust, intake, headers, a cowl hood (if the stock one is too flat), and maybe a supercharger once the warrantee ends. I like the look of the Camaro as it is, but I can never drive a car that I haven't made mine. Plus, I've never been satisfied with stock audio in any car.

There are going to be a lot of these around, so perhaps exercising less restraint would go a long way in making the car more individualized. I'd really like to see what official GM aftermarket mods will be available. I'd definitely be interested.

magnacharger is distributed by GMPP at dealers now so you can have the dealer install it and you KEEP all your warranties (or get equivilent ones)

limited external mods for me. Hide-away headlights and side exiting exhaust are probably about it. Mechanically, I can't even begin to speculate yet because we don't know what the drivetrain and suspension will be.

Edit: 500th post! Wooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Edit #2 Pencil, I'm coming up on you for post count. Be afraid.

If the handling is too loose sways are going in for sure. That's the only mechanical mod I'd ever deem necessary or probable other than exhaust.

go in to your local GM dealer they have the info
the magna charger site sucks though, no good info on new stuff, like thier intergrated water intercooled high "helix" supercharger for the genIII/IV engines.

also for the warranties you have to have them install

As long as it's keeps looking as pretty as it has so far, I don't really see any need for external mods. Just put on some nice rims and off I go....
