I jus unhooked them and if they leaked, they leaked. I was less clean. Just make sure that the fluid doesn't get on the paint!! I was very careful about that but some did spill on the concrete.

For the bleeding, I do traditional. I syphoned the old fluid out of the reservoir, filled it with new and just kept refilling. Kris did the pedal, I opened the bleeder and Drew kept the reservoir full. It was a team effort.

Sounds like we need a Mid-Summer Mod Day.

Alright... Mondays progress:

Sweat, jack up car. Sweat, remove wheels. Sweat, hook up clutch reservoir, skip bleeding brakes as it was just done. Sweat some more. Fill brake reservoir. Clean sweat off car.

After that, I cleaned up the 3 calipers that had paint pealing around the bleeder. Painted those and cleared them.
Done for the night. Too damn hot.

Tomorrow I will tackle the LCA brackets and end links. Wednesday, Gordy is coming to help me with the rear inserts. Thursday I will tighten the exhaust, fix the broken exhaust bolt and install my new shifter bushings. Hurst sent them to me bc I bitched about how much it wobbled. Friday I'm getting the tires mounted and I'll install the front rod inserts and steering bushing.

Saturday it will probably rain. :(

Should be quite a bit stiffer after all this.

Re Goodguys...

WOW were there a lot of 5th gen camaros there... I think 12-14? Including number 64 of the SLP ZL1s and the number 3 coolest looking camaro I ever saw (gold/purple). (the 2nd best looking is still hrpii... even if it still needs rear louvers... and the best is the new bumblebee one on C5s website).

The only reason its crazy to see so many 5th gens is you have to have a car older than 1972 to be at GGs... There were only about 2 mustangs inc. a boss 302 at the Ford booth. GMPP had a camaro verte too and I loved the wheels (black/chrome).

There was a 1968 Camaro with a 2010 camaro LS3 + an entire 2010 camaro interior... that was SWEET, and no it was NOT just a 68 camaro dropped on a '10 chassis... full swaps...

Maybe I'll get around to posting some pics of the camaros...

Oh yeah, and if anyone wants 15% + A free tshirt on orders over $150 from Hotchkis, I got some coupon codes. Probably can find them on google too, but still.... Got a chance to see the parts in person which was nice. I think I'm leaning towards hotchkis over pedders of pfadt, even though it seems like the latter are what most guys are running... may go pfadt for the engine mounts though, and I would definately go with pfadt for the subframe bushings if I could run autocross with solid metal ones (unfortunately not allowed without going to pro class... urgh??)

Cheers!

I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

At the dayton car show yesterday we had 2 people ask where to get those "awesome" wheels on the LS... I've never had anyone ask me about the wheels on the SS. Cracks me up that so many of the camaros have the "upgraded wheels" that its the "base" wheels that people think are special. Amusing I must say!

Anyone else notice that? really though, on a black or gray V6, I think I may prefer the LS wheels over the others.

ibeck- I want to see pics and I'd love to get an idea of what it costs!

I may actually seriously be willing to help out. I'm probably going to be doing most those mods at some point, so might as well figure out how to do them with you... Plus theres tons of cheap awesome cars by you that I want to buy, and if I have a good reason to go over there then I can. Too bad your so far away... seriously... if you were like in Cincinnati or Dayton I wouldnt think twice about it

@rex, CincySpeed has literally 7 camaros sitting there. They were able to show me each of them, as each one has a different supercharger setup. He was also able to show me the suspension setups. I think I was sold on the Hellion TTs instead- for the price I think they can't be beat, but I'm still a TT lover compliments of the old VR4 (which you seem to be able to appreciate...) I used to run a 3000GT VR4 Spyder. I love those cars!!! Used to compete in NCCA in Ohio if you ever brought that one around...

I have a complex though because I love the Camaro with a passion but I hate my camaro. Going through 4 quarts of oil an oil change (and the dealer telling me thats within spec), Going through multiple transmissions (and losing another one), my heated seats and blower don't work (the dealers actually fixing these ones)... and don't get me started on the problems I've already had fixed... (exhaust issues, power seats not working, BA SS issues, etc.) Anyway, for the last 2 years I've been putting money in my "mod savings", and that account is now well over the price difference of a ZL1 vs SS, since I've been scared to modify it due to warranty stuff. Well take $$ and add it to an SS in trade in and you get a ZL-1 with a few bucks to spare... so now I'm leaning towards that... or a corvette...

yeah yeah yeah, I know everyone is sick of hearing my life camaro story, but Blame GM. If my camaro didn't suck, I'd be running a nice little TT SS Bumblebee and then we could all just be friends without any b!tch sessions.

Cheers!
I didn't know you had a Vr4 Spyder. What color was yours? That is my other daily driver right now, i've got a black 95 with 62k miles. They are crazy cars, but a pain to keep running correctly.
