Pontiac has yet to announce that there will be a Firebird. I figure if there will be a Firebird, they would have announced it already to draw some additional attention to GM companies. There is no evidence to suggest that GM will produce a Firebird on the Zeta platform in the near future.

I asked this question a while back.....

Pontiac, I don't believe, could get the volume.

Don't count Pontiac out, tho -- while you may not see a Firebird anytime soon, I think you'll see something else. (and that's all I'll say about that!)

I do believe, and mizzo was deserving, but hey i will take it! Ballin jayhawks about to be 8-0. I would love to see the Trans am back. I could only imagine the look of the body design, done up like always.

When you think back to classic muscle from Chevy, you think Camaro. When you think back for Pontiac, it's GTO. That's just how I think of it.

I'd sooner see a new GTO than a Firebird, just saying. They don't do a lot of clones these days, aside from luxury levels. Performance cars don't TEND to be cloned (Exceptions include the soltice/skye, etc. etc. I know, just saying...). If they were to launch a new Firebird it would be the Camaro with a new front fascia (most likely) and possibly a different powertrain. However I don't think they could put the new Pontiac 'edge' on the Camaro and have it look good.

I'd love to see a GTO though

Just going back through some older posts. I'm glad to see that GM stuck to their word to deliver a production version very very close to the concept.

I completely agree. I'm very glad that GM has fulfilled their promise thus far.
