Yes. I had a '98 T/A with a Spec Stage 3 ceramic clutch and while it did a good job at holding the power, there was no slipping it during light take offs when driving on the street. It was either engaged or not engaged with nothing in between. Made it a real pain especially in traffic. The McLeod street twin I had in another car held the power too but was much more civil. The RXT is the same way, or so I've been told by several people who use it. I'll find out for myself soon.

Had a ram twin disc on my GTO and the tabs on the floater broke and made the clutch usesless. this was about 12000 miles on the clutch with limited drag racing and 600whp on a clutch rated for 900. they told me I must have launched the car in reverse.......... So needless to say I went with the Katech 20% stiffer Zr1 clutch for my camaro. Personally don't have any experience with the mcleod

I have about 350 miles on the clutch and i can tell it is breaking in. engagement is much smoother and im now really enjoying it. it has a petal that it MUCH lighter than stock and feels good all around. im going to try to track it either this weekend or next. so im working to put 500 miles on it without any launching or hard acceleration for the proper break in..... Its awfully hard to do!! :( Being that i havent gone WOT or anything close to that in over a month!!

The RXT is not an on/off clutch. It's a great street driver.

We just pulled another LS9 clutch out and replaced it with the RXT. 20 miles on the clutch we dyno'd it at 620hp/580tq with no hints of slipping. The older clutch would slip for 2-3 runs.

I've always been happy with my McLeod and the person I recommended the RXT to loves it... There is more than one clutch that can get the job done for sure but you should really break them in according to the instructions no matter which one you chose

I thought break in is not necessary for a clutch.

I have been running McLeod RXT clutch for awhile now and would not use another clutch as it is awesome and holds all the power you can throw at it. It drives awesome on the street as well.
