I received the bill today - $30.91 CAD.

Gordy, you guys are cracking me up! See what I miss when I stay away too long??! Hmm, come to think, I have that performance-reducing intake and noise-reducing exhaust, too. You know, so the Camaro "looks like awesome, sounds like... nothing." (I actually did tell someone this, soon after I got mine.)

I'm thinking about the Ohio River cruise, sounds like fun, and something suitable for a V6 w/stock suspension. I'll sign up if I decide to go for it, but I think I might have family stuff going on that I need to check first.

No bill from Canada here. We took the traffic jam instead (i.e., 401).

Well... we added a new mate to the stable. Not a fun one but a well needed one. After 251,000 miles we have decided to replace the old Civic. The ac went out, tried to recharge it but made it worse... it needs new tires soon so hate to replace them with it on thin ice... the exhaust is falling off again and I hate sounding like a fart can car... the tranny has been slipping... the inside stinks like mildew from getting wet and having a wet dog in it... plus we were just freakin tired of driving it. We did keep it but not sure what we are going to do with it.... keep it, sell it or give it away... I think we are going to take a stab at selling it but what the hell could we get for it... $1000... $1500

We looked at a 2011 Honda Fit, 2012 Honda Civic, 2012 Focus hatch, 2011 Cruze, 2011 Golf...

My favorite was the Golf but the added cost and the reduced mileage couldn't top this:

2012 Civic EX

I know its not the Cruze like I thought I'd end up with but cost vs mileage and the freakin reputation... its hard to beat. I added the 6 year 120K warranty which will last me about 4 years but it is chalk full of gizmos and gadgets. Kris loves it. She drove it home while I stuck it out in old blue with no ac, and defrost that doest work... Unloaded the work stuff from the ole' girl and parked her in the yard. I haven't driven the new one yet. We test drove a hidious light blue one with tan interior. When I saw the black with grey interior, I didn't need to look anymore. Sunroof, alloy wheels, bluetooth, all kinds of crap the 98 didn't have.

Only planned mod is some mildly tinted windows. Just enough to keep it cool inside.
Very nice!! Guess the JRHaus stands for Jason 'Ricer' Haus?? !! LOL

Just picking as I own a Honda and Toyota too!!

I may have a new toy to play with myself. A local guy has a 1992 RS Camaro for sell. But whats interesting about this one is its looking like its a B4C/1LE RS. Of course I cant confirm until I look at it in person, get a Vin and look at the option sheet. But if it is and in good shape, its mine.

Funny man! And I had something to give you Friday too. The civic is nice! Round trip to work... Over 37 mpg. And you've seen my route to work. We work across 75 from CincySpeed. Not exactly straight and flat

It is amazing how quiet they are from the factory. I was at the F-body show at Summit last year and a completely stock one drove through the parking lot and I stood there thinking it sounded like it wasn't even running.

Hope you can make it. Should be a nice cruise.

Oh, even a stock V6 suspension does very well on the twisties. There are some new Mini Coopers that will attest to that. :emoticon7: Since you have the Pirellis, yours would do even better than mine with the winter tires.

I may not be drooling over it, but hey, a new ride is a new ride, and those civics are actually pretty nice!!

minus the tranny slipping, I would have told you I was interested in your old one!

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

The point of the new one isn't drool factor. It's the fact that we have a 120 mile a day commute. It's for reliability and mileage

I have two certificates, each for 3 dyno runs with air/fuel. That's 6 total runs. Location is TI DYNO in Ashtabula, Ohio. I won them at a car show and don't plan to use them. Make me an offer for one or both if interested. I also posted this in the classifieds, but figured it would be more useful/wanted in this thread as well.

I already used 1 of the 3 I got...the place was actually decent & the guy was pretty nice...it's a Mustang dyno...I plan on using my other 2...& we actually did 4 runs on mine...was curious to see what 4th would do, but never topped out because of the stupid speed warning at 118
