I work at a dealer and I learn more right here then anywhere else when it comes to the Camaro. You guys do a great job!

Camaro Unveil Event May 6, 2009
Orders are already at the plant scheduled to be built and shipped to dealers for the Camaro unveiling activity. These units are not showing as in system or in bound units because they are ordered under a special account. As the units are produced and released for shipment, they will be reassigned to a dealership and then shipped. Only then will a dealer see an inbound unit on their reports.

As a reminder, these preordered units will be in one of four models and colors and all of them equipped with the award winning V-6 (see attached file for details). These units are over and above the initial estimated retail production guide numbers previously provided, and will be invoiced to the dealership as they are assigned to them. The assignment of vehicles will be at random and the dealership cannot make any changes as the units will have already been built.

It is expected every dealership will have at least one unit in time for the reveal on May 6, and in some cases, well before that date. Although we would prefer the dealer to hold this unit until May 6, it is a dealership retail unit, and there are no restrictions to delivering it before May 6.

I'm guessing that once the V6s get reassigned to dealerships they'll start showing up in our reports.

Hey on the spread sheet I found one from my dealer and my order style of car. How can I tell if it is mine or not? Is there a way to check the spread sheet to see which one is our car?

Not really. All the information we have is from GM's window sticker page. You can plug yours in and see if it matches up exactly (where the Xs are the VIN in question)...

If it matches and you're #1 at your dealer, chances are it's your car. Your dealer can also access the information in their system and find out definitively if it's yours or not.

Sure, you can call your dealer and ask them.

You may want to take this off, somone posted it the other day and it was pulled because someone from GM said it was not supposed to be public knowlege.

number 183 is coming to my dealer and it is a yellow SS with black Stripes.. and I know of one other yellow SS coming to the same dealership but it has not made the list.. and then there is my Yellow LS.. Lots of Yellow Camaros gonna be around here it looks like...
I couldn't find any other Tennessee dealers listed....

It wasn't someone from GM but just someone else. I think they were just being overly paranoid.

It is only a section of the email. Our whole staff is telling all of the customers that ask. If someone wants it down they can ask me.

Oh I can't wait til that moment I see my car on that spreadsheet. I just hope I have on good underwear cause well. I may make a mess....
