$1500 Incentive on 2011 Camaros

Just received a certificate from GM's mygmsavings.com for $1500 which can be added towards any incentive and/or can be use towards any lease offer. This offer is good from July 6th thru September 6th, 2011 and can be used by a family member. Its good on eligible new 2011 or 2010 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle, but is not redeemable for cash.

I alway's try and wait for the holiday and year end closeout sales but I know that you take the risk of not getting exactly what you want sometimes if you wait too long and dealers sometimes are hesitant to do dealer swaps in some cases.

Even if there was a 2011 ZL1, you can bet it won't be on the list of eligible cars for the discount.

Corvettes and Escalades are getting $3000.00 off from the certificates and CTS-V's are getting $2000.00 so I would think if the supply level was high enough they would have it on the ZL1 if it was already on the streets.

Those certificates are random and not everyone gets one. Just went to the site and unless you are sent one via email or smail mail, you cannot get on the list.

How does GM determine who gets these? I'm in the market to purchase a Camaro and $1500 would put me over the edge. I've purchased 8 new GMs over the past nine years, but I did or have not received this offer. I called the dealer and they were checking into it for me.

I just went to that site and did an online chat. The lady said they go out randomly to people that have shown interest in certain models or have entered GM sponsered contests or attened GM events. I wonder how long they will be sending them out? :(

Do not worry about it. GM gives rebates etc and the dealer gives their discount. AS GM discount goes up, dealer moves less towards invoice.

As mentioned above, you might, might get a little better deal ( not taking in to consideration you have a year old car the second you drive it off the lot) as the 2012s start to unload on dealer lots but the 2011 selection will be thin. I prefer to get what I want in color and options even if it cost another 1 % or 2.

Just an FYI for everyone, I called GM yesterday and they told me that I was not choosen for the $1,500 private offer and there was no way to get it, however after some pressing they did send me a $500 "bonus" rebate good on any new GM except the Volt. I know it's not $1,500 but I'll take it. Hopefully I can finalize my deal today...
