Ok, so it will probably be Adams, after closer inspection of my car (its rally yellow and hard to pick out swirls if not in the proper light and proper angle) I noticed that it does indeed have swirls in the paint, although I have only used the two bucket method since I bought it, probably "dealer installed". However, I have another question, for those of you, if any, who have the flat matte stripes how do you go about with the Porter Cable around those, do you tape them off or what is your SOP for that, I know I could be REALLY careful but there has got to be a more efficient way to go about this.

Tape them off to be safe, that will allow you to work right up to them without fear of doing damage. Takes a little more time in the beginning, but very much worth the effort when you consider what a pain in the butt messed up stripes are.

After reading the forums I bought the stuff anyway. It's sort of like when your girlfriend wants to go to some trendy nightclub, and you know you'd have more fun at the place with no cover and $3 beers, but you can't let her feel like she doesn't deserve it.

In this economy I think Adams and Zaino will price themselves out of business. |

A unique ability for Zaino sealants is that layering and repetitive applications yields incredible results. While the majority of our customers apply only one or two layers, there are some enthusiastic customers that apply dozens and dozens of layers. To be fair, our product performance fuels a very passionate customer experience, and quite a few customers simply can’t get enough. Using a single or every product in our system, or layering one or one hundred applications is a CHOICE, not a requirement. It’s up to YOU. It simply does not take hours of work and lots of steps to see huge benefits from Zaino products. I can wash, clay, wash and apply 1,2 or 3 coats of Z-2 or Z-5 with a overcoat of Z-2 in three hrs. One coat of Z-2 or Z-5 is all you need, more coats just for better/deeper look. The acel allows you to reapply next coat as soon as other is removed. Zanio does not require multiple coats to protect the paint. For wax/sealing I prefer Zanio. For leather care Zanio. For correction, tires, wheels, brushes and towels..Adams.. I have used both Zanio and Adams so I choose what I think is best for/to me. |

But with the Camaro you get a vehicle from an American Company, great looks, has tons of standard features, and gets you from point A to B very quick. So testmule, why did you decide to pay more than you had to for your car? Same reason us who use Adam's or Zaino decide to pay more for a superior product. |

I bought a jar of Zaino before I knew about Adam's. I have waxed the car one time, it's not a DD. I got caught in a rain storm and the water just ran off the car, when I got home and it dried. You would have never known it was wet to begin with.
When I wash the car now, it's wild to see how fast the water runs off the car. You also need to keep it refrigerated as stated on the jar. I like it and will continue to use it along with my Adams car wash. |

It's all about how well you want to protect your paint and how good you want your car to look. You have to put some time and money into it. Adams is worth every dollar to me. My car is black and it's my daily driver rain or shine and people think it is a garage kept car.

![]() Grab you a Porter Cable, some Uber pads, and the Ultimate Compound/ Polish combo and you're good to go. They should be able to take out any swirls that are in your new paint. |

Half the stuff I buy is from Adams, but I'm always looking for a deal with alternative products.
For me, Meguiar's Ultimate Compound (Over the Counter) and M205 polish (online or OTC at auto parts stores) are equivalent polish products at half the price. I also buy 6 packs of Lake Country pads from autogeek.com rather than Adams. Meguiars pads have separated the velcro on me and I've been reading the same about some Adams pads, but the LC pads haven't failed me yet and the price is right. Detail Spray, Waterless Wash, wash pad, and Towels all come from Adams because they have proven to be the best bang for the buck. I've tried every "pro" line towel out there and Adams towels can't be beat for scratch and lint free performance. There are some items that paying twice the money for the over the counter equivalent is well worth it. If you buy Adams liquids by the gallon your price per ounce becomes about half what you'd pay at Walmart for some other brand. It seems steep to pay $40 per gallon of detail spray but it works down to $5.00 per bottle vs. $8 - $10 per bottle at Walmart for Meguiars or whatever brand. I've wasted alot of money on trying other products lines. Meguiars and Adams are both excellent retailers and have everything you could want in every price range. |
