If the finances would have been there, I would have purchased both... aarrgghh! Since that wasn't fact, no regrets here w/the 2LTRS. When we first started looking @ Camaros I wanted an 2SS. If it was going to be my dd I would've bought one, but since it was to be her dd, we went with the 6pack. I love my wife dearly, but she's a Diva and her stongest attributes are anything but driving a high performance car.
We test drove all choices then, the LS/1LT/2LT/2LTRS and went for all the bells/whistles that the 6banger had. Just as a few fellow C5/V6 owners have stated, I myself have a classic that will satisfy my need to smoke anyone in the town I live in, but this car has plenty of ponies for her and I might mention I like the performance of it too... Blew away a couple of Ricers already and if they mod up and come back for more, I'll just sick the 72 on em, You SS guys have nothing but my total respect and we are all Camaro brothers in my book! Now, if I win the lottery, you can bet the farm I WILL get both, except the SS will be Supercharged and I will remember all that gave me positive replies. . Peace, out...

Another newbie troll. He probably drove a 15 year old ricer before he bought his 'beast', and just can't contain himself.

I bought mine because i didnt want a stripped down car with a nice motor..i was comming from a i4, so a v6 with over 300hp was a good jump...i wanted a car with all the commodoties, and thats what i got..as for the 2ss, well i finally wanted the motor, and the 2ss is the next jump...after this camaro, will probably be a corvette, if not a 6th gen.

I bought a Muscle car and I wanted big power with a manual tranny..................Thats exactly what I got..........Gotta ask yourself...........What do I want out of my Camaro?.....Trinkets or Power?? All of the "extras" the 2LT comes with are easily added to the 1ss/1lt........ Here is what I wanted out of mine

You obviously dont know the CAFE standard. Your welcome, some of us actually like Camaros and dont need an SS to prove it. Its one thing to be stupid its another thing to post and remove all doubt.

First time I saw the 5th gen I said "wow, that looks good", not "wow, I want the fastest one they make". I'm planning on getting a 2012 2LT very soon w/ everything worth it. Around same price as 1S. I want leather seats, I want the little things that make my drive everyday better whether it's HUd, backup camera, HALOS! etc. If I were to race, obviously the V8. Even if I just want to mod, why not get the faster of the two. But I fell in love with this car because of the look, not what was under the hood. Coming from a car with 263hp, having 323hp is good enough.

2LT, Bells and whistle were important to me, as was the option when we decided to get the Denali over the regular Yukon/Tahoe. The extra ponies were not important due to the fact i don't intend to race with it and i already have a built up P/U, up until some butthead backed into the front end few months ago and didn't come into the returant to find the owner.
Having to put new grille, passenger fender, and hood on it.

I have a 1SS/RS that has all options available. I hate leather interior which is only reason I got 1SS.
I couldn't own a V6 camaro......it's just not a Camaro to me. Muscle Car minus the muscle. Save your pro V6 arguments.................don't care. It's still a V6. |

...being a 2SS with a sunroof owner...I'll say this...a 1SS with leather and a sunroof would have sold me as well...I like the bluetooth integration, it's especially nice for work, but I could live without it...I had cloth in my 4th gen...grew tired of it, wanted leather...but the heated seats...I'm not going to get much use out of them with the car going into the garage for the winter.
I don't mean to be in a V6 / V8 war...but I'll never buy a car without buying the most powerful engine available for it...the ZL1 wasn't out yet, so I have an LS3...I also just can't ever picture myself appreciating the sound of a V6...they have their place...and making 300+ hp is cool...but they're not for me.
