A modded Camaro will obviously do better and maybe beat a stock 07 GT. My friend out drove a stock SRT in his stock 07 GT, there is no way a stock V6 Camaro or Mustang beats a more poorly driven SRT. Like I said, I don't know about the whole V6 is king remark...
Hey now, nowhere did I state the Camaro V6 was faster. I was stating my preference of how an engine should be, I like engines that gather power in a linear way all the way to redline(like BMW's S65 engine or yes, a high revving V6), so then it's power would be easier to modulate and you won't be thrown back in your seat if you accidently depress the accelerator pedal an inch. I like engines that rev faster... I almost bought a 340-hp Audi S4 B6-gen. But my G35 is actually faster because it doesn't take forever to rev up like a powertool(though that 4.2 Audi FSI engine has to be one of the best sounding V8's out there mind you).
