If you decide to seal them, be careful with the fronts. I broke the tabs on mine and I followed the directions to the letter.
Heard about this, i know most of our sets sent out later in the group buy weregiven an "extra layer of sealant" (as told by Jonathan at AAC) but not sure. Mine have been through numerous rainshowers and i check them all the time and i get no moisture.

I think the moisture gets in where the led connection screws in. That is what needs the sealant. I found 2 of those connections were loose and could of potentially let water in.

Hey Guys,
I got a quote from a local shop(DOC) today for a cam and wanted to see what your opinion was on the specs of the cam. I posted this in the general forum but, figured it would be good to get a local take on this. Here is all the work involved.

First let me level set by sharing the current mods on my car.
2010 2ss L99
K&N cold air intake
1 7/8 XSpower long tubes with cat delete connection pipes
Borla "s" type catback 2.5"
Jannetty Tune

As for the quote, this is what it includes:
3 bolt cam 225/230 .617 / .612 112 LSA
Remove and
Replace Camshaft, Requires
DOD/VVT Delete Lit and
Installation-Remove and Replace
Lifters,Valley Cover, Head Gaskets
Naturally Aspirated Electronic Fuel
Injection Tuning
GM VVT Delete kit-Engine Front
Cover Gasket

DOD Delete Kit-LS7 Lifters,
Valley Cover, Lifter Trays, Head Bolts
Camshaft, Pushrods, Double Valve
Springs, Valve Seats, Valve Seals,
Water Pump Gaskets, Timing Cover
Gasket, Front Cover Seal, ARP
Crank Bolt
GM MLS Cylinder Head Gasket
8 Quarts Oil, Oil Filter, Coolant

Curious if anyone else has a cam like this and what are your thoughts on how it will behave as a daily driver.

I have a 231/236 (bigger cam) and daily drives pretty good. Yours should be real nice. Since you do not have gears on the list, it should also maintain good torque down low. It looks like it will have a good lope also. What shop are you looking to get this done? OHHHHHHHHH, make sure to replace your oil pump, timing chain with a stronger one and your chain tensioner to a stronger one. People have had problems with those items on here. It will be no labor charge since they all have to come off.

Hey Steelshark2,
Thanks man. Its the same shop you used. I thought "doc" was a good clue...lol...Thanks for the advice about the oil pump, timing chain and tensioner. I'll be sure to have him add that to the quote. Can you recommend what specific parts I should ask for when it comes to those?

Also, what kind of power do you think I should be close to with that and my current mods?

Go 3 bolt design cam, N-motion LS2 timing set, Melling high flow oil pump and I think the tensioner is an LS2.

I am no expert and have not seen this cam in action. I would say around 410-440rwhp with good torque gains. 112LSA should give the idle a good chop. If you had a torque converter, I would say go bigger though.
