My theory was, the real muscle cars in the era had wings, GTO's, 442's, Superbird's etc etc

That is a little different than a Honda.

I actually see why it is that high though.

Take a look at how it flows with the lines of the car from this angle. Some will still hate it.

I am glad you don't care what people say about it and you are going to kept it. I have a guy in my camaro club that has one and it looks great. It's your car and your money you do what makes you happy. I have a new spoiler getting put on my car next week. Dare to be different

my 2012 2ss just arrived at the dealership. i was gonna pick it up on friday but then my dealer called me and told me that they cant install the high wing spoiler because the 2ss rear spoiler uses 6holes/bolts and the hw spoiler uses 4.

either they have to:
1. INSTALL THE HW SPOILER and FILL THE EXTRA 2 HOLES
2. GET A NEW TRUNK LID WITHOUT SPOILER THEN PUT IN THE HW SPOILER.

for now im getting my car AS IS. gonna look online where to get a trunk lid in summit white w/o spoiler.

can anyone help me out??? any ideas? suggestions?

I found one at a salvage yard for mine by going to www.car-part.com and searching on trunk lid.

I got mine for $300 and it was near perfect and worked out quite well.
I did a search and for $360 I see one at a salvage yard in Wisconsin in summit white.

Nope. Schram auto had it in RJT already, and I was able to just polish it up a little bit drill the holes and install the spoiler.

Actually finding anyone with the RJT highwing was the most difficult and only Maureen@Rodgers had it. It looks like very few of these highwings in this color were made thanks to the Tsunami and the RJT color being discontinued.
