2 CherryBomb glasspacks where the resonators were then straight pipe out the back sounds better than any others i've heard. All parts were less than $100!!

To answer your question on the cheapest way to have a nicer sounding v6, a intake... Buy an intake cheaper than an exhaust and it will change the sound a bunch. You wont regret it.

I have the Slp loudmouth 1 muffler delete and all i get are compliments that it sound kinda exotic in a high reving motor sound. But since i am a honest person I will say it does have alot of drone when ur windows are up and no radio on. It is Obnoxiously lound when ur on it i mean like people will hear u from down the road before u get there and it prolly will set off car alarms. But when ur just cruising its not so bad. I paid about 300 for mine and paid midas to weld them on after i put them on cause i couldnt line them up and the clamps didnt clamp tight enought and had to much movement in the exhaust. Midas did it for about 50 bucks.

I don't know too much about cars in general so my question is- what's the best bang for the buck that I can get? I don't want something that's just as loud as possible. I want it to have a nice sound. The MRT v2 sounds BEAUTIFUL to me but it looks a tad expensive. How much does it usually run to have these things install at a quality shop? Do they install them at dealerships?

Thanks!

Lolcamaro – here’s a video of our Flowmaster American Thunder Axle-Back for the V6. It shows how easy it is to install, how the exhaust sounds and also shows the dyno pull and power increase.

The American Thunder gives the V6 almost an exotic car sound. The kit is 409S Stainless Steel and comes with a Lifetime Warranty. List price is under $570. Some of the forum sponsors run specials and offer a great discount.

Ps. Only cost $70 and 2 hrs of my time to have the muffler store do it

thats not my car, but i saw that video a while back and did the same exact thing to mine. Muffler delete and 3inch straight pipes in its place, and mine sounds identical. When i find my video camera around here somewhere ill take some vids man.

Any truth to that? If not, that's $70 damn well spent!

An intake will only do so much. It definitely sounds better inside the cabin when you get on it-almost V8ish-but the sound coming out the butt end of your car won't change much.

To the OP, I forgot about electric cutouts. I think you can get them for about 350.00. You want loud? There you go.. I still might do those. Coming out of long tubes ought to be crazy.
