Ok, I picked up three cans today after painting my calipers red. I am curious for those of you that did the plasti-dip, did you turn the wheels over to do the inside coats then let it dry and turn it over for the outside? It looked as is a few of you didn't flip the wheels at all.

i did the inside and outside of mine.

Tire shine actually really makes the plasti-dip look glossy just like the tires, and it doesnt peel it off. I was worried when I got some excess on the rims, but it didnt cause any problems so I gently wiped more on the plasti-dip and they look good

Thanks for the tip. Well, I finished about 45 minutes ago. I took my time and cleaned the wheels super good with soap and water, then alcohol, 2 coats on the inside and 4 on the outside. It took me 4 hours but, I think it turned out really well. There are very minor imperfections but you have to put your face about 5 inches from the wheels to see it. I am going to let them cure for about 4 hours before I attempt to mount them back on.

I had thought about it, but I didn't want to risk not being able to peel it off if I don't like it or it gets damaged.

I wouldnt. It will make it harder to peel off if you ever wanted to. If you want to spray gloss Just skip the plasti dip.

Doing this to my LT1 wheels this weekend just to see how it comes out. Im practicing while I shop for some SS wheels. Plastidipped my bezels and bowties was happy with the turnout. Even have a beat up Yamaha R1 that think may bring back to life with a coat of plastidip

Ok I want to use plasti-dip for my Silver Ice Metallic Camaro!! Do you think it will look good? Also do you have to take the wheels off the car or can you leave them on to paint?
