For me I'll start with :
1- Carbon 17'' rims ( the 20 '' is big for a sports car) .
2- Remove the spare tire and the engine cover ;-) ( I'll get nothing) .
3- maybe a carbon fiber hood .
I think that's the only things you'll have to do without losing any feature

Get some lightweight aftermarket wheels.

-If you want rip out the sound deadening materials, There is a lot and weighs a lot! Then your car will be noisy.

17" wheels will 100% for sure not fit over those brakes. 18" wheels are 95% doubtful as well.

This is such a bad idea. Your fuel pump is designed to operate with gas in the tank. Running with the tank always low can cause it to fail prematurely.

Lightweight 19" wheels will be the first thing I do...those GM aluminum 20's weigh a LOT. My dad's Yukon XL 20's are ridiculously heavy and they look similar to the SS wheel.

I agree those stock wheels weigh a ton... I plan on getting lighter 19'' wheels, getting rid of my spare. I will get a carbon fiber hood when they make one and possibly a trunk too. This will be my daily driver i dont plan on going crazy with the weight savings yet. I think eventually I will get rid of the fron seats and get new lighter ones that hold you in a little better.

Air bags
seats (replace the drivers one with lightweight racing seat)
radio
speakers
door panels
swap windows for lexan
carpet
dash pnls
center console pnls
light weight battery
lighter wheels
windshield washer tank/lines

basically anything that isnt required to make the car go faster.

actually, the easiest way would be to buy a BIW (body in white) shell, then throw in the motor/trans/rear/etc and nothing else
