I read this thread today and went ahead and did mine. Took about 2 hours from start to finish. You can probably do it faster if you aren't anal like me. I taped off the tabs since I don't want those painted. This is easier than you think! Also I didn't break any tabs off which is surprising because I usually He-Man everything.

Some quick tips. Be patient when taking the tabs off. I first unlatched both top tabs and pushed them out about 1/4". Then I got a screwdriver and covered the tip with a cloth so that I don't damage anything. Then I worked the side and bottom tabs off by SLOWLY leveraging against the tail lamp. They slowly pop off one by one. No broken tabs or scratches!

Also when you spray the bezels, I noticed that the top of the bezel tends to cover faster than the lower thicker area. So you may want to go lighter with the spray when hitting the top bezels or else you're going to get runs. Luckily I noticed that the paint was thicker on the top before it happened. Also I noticed that if you get it too thick, it will start to orange peel pretty bad. Stop spraying in this area as it's done. You won't need anymore coats on it. I decided to spray in the garage because it was too windy out. It will help apply it more evenly.

Right now I'm waiting for it to dry. In 2 hours I'm putting them back on! Woohoo!

Yeah it's like 65F right now where I am. Weather this year is totally out of wack for CA standards. Should be like 85F out right now at the minimum. Today it was like 67F out all day. I took them back in the house just now since it's much warmer. It looks to be drying up pretty well though. I'm still going to give it some time before I reinstall it. Like I said, I'm super anal so I don't want to rush it and end up chipping it and then having to redo everything.

It looks like it has the bezel. But I could be wrong.

Just have to worry about rain for about 24 hrs.

I want to go body color on the bezels. I did the black when I did the tints, have to order some CGM spray.

Yes I did my tint. I messed up just a bit on one of them but you really cant tell until you get all up in the light to see it.

Thank you

I think it will work but you wont be able to just peel it away if you mess up.
