I don't like them; you cant see the original gills stamped in the metal. The vinyl ones do the trick for me; they accent the gills instead of covering them up with bling. My opinion.

I have them on my car, they look good and do not cover the stamped portion of the gills, they go around the outside edges of the gills. They look a lot like the gill trim on the 69 Camaros with the chrome package.

I think I do like them!! I was around when they were, so yeah I'm old, but they capture the essence of the original muscle car that was sooo Camaro!!!
And...just my 2 pennies worth as well!

But with my camaro being such a dark color, i'm not sure how well you could see the vinyl ones. then i saw these, and now i'm wondering how they would look on IBM.

Another kind to consider are the ones Emblempros makes that are polished stainless steel. They look good and are a lot cheaper than the retro USA ones.

Well, you know what opinions are like... personally I like 'em. Mine are from RetroUSA and look nearly identical in design to the ones that were on my '69 RS/SS. The bigest difference is that these attach with double-sided tape, so if you decide later that you want the plain look you can easily remove them.

I have chrome inserts on my IBM from Pirate Mfg. They are not the old school ones, but the chrome does look great on IBM.

I don't care at all for this or any Retro crap on a modern day Camaro's. Buy a '68 if you want to mod with chrome vents and ducts.

It's already bad enough that Chevy decided to add fake vents on the Camaros and you go an want to add an even faker set of vents? Sorry man... just not my cup of tea. I like functional stuff.
