I'm doing this for the enjoyment of it, and have no intention of selling.
i hope to do all of this with my 97 one day. keep us updated with all the things you do and make sure to have lots of pics

Cant speak for Synergy as I've never been there, but my car has been worked on by Blu808 and GDP. Luke takes care of all my engine work among other things and is about to do an engine swap and twin turbo setup on my car; he knows his stuff! Mike over at GDP does my tuning. Really clean shop and personable; I had a great experience there.

If I had unlimited funds I'd start here...

http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/En...0199&engCat=ls

Imagine what you wouldn't have to replace to not have that shatter every component in the car...

Unfortunately my fiancee is an accountant, however I twist that to my advantage. "Well honey, I can either build a car that would total $40k, or go buy that pretty little Z06 over there for $90k..." Numbers game always works on her

Blu808 has so many recommendations they will probably be my defacto, I still want to meet all the players first however considering the investment.

Its your car do what makes you happy with it. Some would say dumping 30k into a dime a dozen fbody completely insane however i have seen people dump 100k into restorations of cars that made a crushed soda can look good. I would just make sure to research everything in depth to ensure you only have to do things once.

I have an appointment set with Synergy on 9/7 (won't be back in town during the week until 9/4...)
Left a message with blu808
and I'm going to remove GDP from the list since their shop hours look like it would hinder the progress of the build (4-8pm during weekdays).

Once I have met with both I will create a build thread.
