Clear Coat Chipping/Peeling

So I noticed last week that I had two small spots on my front bumper where the clear coat had chipped away and is now peeling.

In the pictures you can see the one larger (about the size of a dime) and smaller spot, but there are also 2 or 3 more very tiny spots around that area where the clear coat has chipped away.

Anyone have thoughts on what would of caused this? Is this just probably from the overall bad paint jobs on these cars?

I took it into the dealer yesterday and they gave me absolutely no hassle and instantly agreed to repaint the entire front bumper under warranty. I'm a little upset that it's going to have to be repainted but if left untouched it is just going to keeping peeling.

Man you got super lucky. Most dealers would've been pricks about that. Take it and run!

Rock chip that caused the paint and clear to separate. I am surprised they are painting it for free. The flat fronts are susceptible to this sort of road rash. If you have very many miles on it, check the plastic rockers under the doors and back toward the rear wheel. The paint and clear are VERY thin. Don't delay taking advantage of the dealer painting it

I'm pissed just a few minutes ago I was detailing my 2010 Camaro and saw a small spot that looked like a chip / bubble I took my fingernail to it thinking it was road debris and low and behold the clearcoat just came off.... the more I screwed with it the bigger the spot gets as the clearcoat is not adhered to the base coat......WTF
