afm...why gm
alright had my ss almost 3 months got the afm tuned out and dod blah blah blah. Still getting same gas mileage so why other than possible higher gas tax on the sticker did they do it.

If you are running fuel with ethanol in it, you will get lower fuel economy. E10 will drop your mileage by 1-1.5mph. E15 will drop it around 2mpg. If your gas is 100% gasoline, then your speeds may be higher than the EPA tests (which are pretty slow).

GM claims it is to meet mileage standards and avoid gas gusler tax...
My personal opinion is that AFM is designed annoy us so we get a tune and void the warranty. |

AFM and CAFE rules are like teachers who teach just to pass the state test. Basically, AFM gives the Camaro a better test score.
