I tried calling my dealership to get a railcar # so I can track it, but the inventory manager is out of town until next week! So then I called my salesguy and he said he would see if there's any way he can find out that information. Didn't seem like he knew how to get it. So I called GM customer service.

The guy on the other end of the line took down my information and put me on hold. He then came back on the line and told me he spoke with somebody in that department and the only information they had or could tell me is that it was loaded in a railcar and was leaving Ontario Canada on it's way to Nashville, TN. where from there I assume it will be unloaded and put on a truck the rest of the way. But they couldn't provide me with a railcar#! The customer service rep kept reminding me that the best information I could get is from my dealer, but he realized that the inventory manager was out of town. Then he offered to call my dealer for me and get the information or as much information as he could. He has my number and is supposed to be calling me back. So i'll see

On another note, when I was on the line with him, he asked if he could ask me a question non business related. I said sure and then he started asking me how old I was or how young I am. I assume cause I sound very young lol. So I told him. He was like I see you already have a camaro (I guess from looking up my name?), and I was like yeah i'm actually trading it in, I want an SS. And he asked if the car would be all mine and under my name. I said yeah... and he was like "wow"

anyway, waiting for this call back. I would really like my railcar #.

congratulations!! i can't tell from pictures online sometimes (between VR and IOM)... is that victory red?? it looks amazing. my second color choice! i love them all, but have to pick just one. lol.

Victory Red. Can't have a summer toy that isn't screaming at you. Stripes, rear panel black out and SS emblem going on this weekend. Probably not much else until spring then it serious mod time...just kidding...had to pretend to be cool

Arrived at Walkerville Junction, Ontario, Canada at 7:34 PM. At the U.S. border. i'll probably be checking multiple times a day until it gets here.

OMG, you are going to have so much fun tracking your car. I went onto UP's website and printed off their route maps, then tried guessing which route my car would go. Then, after I knew the direction, I printed off every state it would travel through and followed it the whole way.

Sometimes I called every two hours, I was so anxious for updates!

Hello from the TPW 8/1/11 thread. How is everyone?

Just had to say that nobody should get overly excited with a Vin number or the famous 4B00. Mine sat on that code for 11 days, then updated last Friday, but apparently my vehicle is still "not" in transit!! So I'm coming up on the three week anniversary that my baby has just been sitting in Canada!! (:

Seems like a mystery on when the cars leave.... My 8/8 tpw was put on the train yesterday and some folks with 7/18 tpws are still waiting. for a train...I don't know how they can bear the painful wait!

Congratulations on having your cars being shipped and headed on out to ya'll To bad I wasnt living back in Nashville still when I had placed my order. Perhaps I would have had my car shipped and on the way to me too. In fact, thinking about it I would give anything to be back in Nashville right now Mattguyver, how do you like living in Murfreesboro. I have several friends that live there and love it.
