yeah i can see that as well my camaro is purely a DD. I am hopeing this winter to get it off the road AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. I got options but see how it plays out this is the ONLY car i drive/own. And a beater may not be an option as i could not buy another and pay INS on it and blah blah. But i have other options

cause thats a muscle car. I love the viper dont get me worng one of three top dream cars i want to own one day sence i was a kid. Truely i do but its a modern muscle car NOT a sports car

Nah... I'd beg to argue that it is a Muscle Car. The Challenger, even the Charger could be considered Muscle Cars... but not the Viper... it was built to compete with the likes of the Corvette and GT.

Unless your talking the ACR Viper no lol. 500 HP 500 FPOT its heavy dont handle well WAY to big a motor a v10? Come on lol now you could compare the auti-v10 but then again your talking massively differnt cars (and price ranges) no sorry its a pure muscle car, Not a sports car

Your way wrong, the Viper is classified as a sports car ... FYI muscle cars died in the 70's ... We now have sport coupes, if you weren't around in the late 60's early 70's you wouldn't know or understand about Muscle Cars ...

I hate to say it (and swear) but the camaro is the bastard child of the auto world. Always has been and at one point in time called "The Poor Mans Corvette" and that motto sticks true today. And IMO back in the day if you could not afford a corvette you got a camaro. Could not afford a camaro? you got a chevy chevelle/nova with a mid sized motor lol. Thats how i always viewed it. Cause the camaro has always had a corvette motor just down tuned. So it could never compete with the corvette on any grounds power or preformce. Whats your thoughts on this am i wrong or what? iI am just going by the history of the camaro. The corvette is the icon the baby the cream of the crop. Chevy puts out the corvette always has been the top tier of the brands line up of cars. Ever thing else is 2ed in line

I beg to differ. We had 19 club Camaros at the Pavillions Auto Show in Scottsdale yesterday and that isn't counting the non-club stragglers (6 that I saw). We had more cars than the Mustang, Corvette and Mopar clubs all did. That kind of popularity doesn't sound like an underdog story to me.

I get heat for saying this but for the first time in history. The camaro has become THIS popular so that makes sence. And its due to its styleing and hype from the movie buzz *puts on flame suit*. But in camaro history it has always not been this popular far as i seen. And i mean on this GRAND a scale not to mention. I was up at hamton beach in the peak of tourist season and i seen more then 70 mustangs 2 max 4th/3ed gen camaros and 3 to 5 (more like 3) gen 5 camaros so. With that logic and unless camaros going to meet somewhere they are an underdog

And on a side note it made me proud to own my gen 5 seeing all them mustangs. When you see that meny and lets say you own one it loses it magic. It loses that "i am specal in a hot car" side. But when your rolling in a car that is rare and truely stands out in a sea of blah cars your cheast swells with pride cause you TRUELY stand out

First... I've never heard of a sports car requiring a specific size engine... Ferrari, Aston Martin, etc.

Also a sports car is not a "price range"... a Mazda Miata is considered a sports car and is well under a Corvette, or any of the above.

I am sure we can agree to disagree, but...

IMO... I would say a sports car is mostly quantified by its seating capacity and its aero dynamics (built for track requirements). Most are 2 seaters and very aero-dynamic, and if they do have a back seat it fits no human properly. Muscle Cars/Pony Cars always have a back seat, and aero-dynamics are much less important than the overall style of the car.
