I already called a tinter and he said he has to see the car before he can quote me because he's obviously never done one before. Should be around $100-$175. From the pics of Hendrick's car I'll be tinting the sides as dark as they need to be to get rid of that triangle look in the rear seat window. probably around 15-20%.

Legal in NY is 35%.....I go 20% on my cars, and just make sure you roll both windows down and turn on the inside light if you get pulled over.

Make sure your installers are using quality 3M Film or you will get that Purple look after a year or so.

i know i'll be getting pulled over just for having a car like this, so i don't need multiple tint tickets but, for me the back windows can have whatever so i'll go 5%... i can't legally have any tint on the sides so probably the lightest, 35% i think. I'll risk it for a while...

What else woulda like to know? I've had my windows tinted at 5% all the time, i've been pulled over twice, once got a ticked the other time he just let me go. But i think he only let me go cuz I'm a paramedic and he recognized me. I love having it tinted, it looks bad ass, you never realize how much you like it until you get into a car that doesn't have any and you feel blinded by the sun. I never noticed it keeping the interior that much cooler. If it's blazing hot outside it's just not going to help that much. But it does help protect the leather and dash. If you're worried about driving a darkly tinted car at night then you might want to hold off or not go too dark. It doesn't cost too much if you do some shopping, around 200 or so. Like someone mentioned before if you do get busted you can use a hair dryer to take it off and when i payed for the first ticket it was only 20 bucks. Sometimes you can find someone to take it off for you for free if you take it back to them to get it put back on after you get it inspected if you get a ticket. lol

I've tinted every car I owned, but might not tint this car. The visibility is not that great in this car to begin with. Now imagine what it is like driving on a rainy night with 5% tint.

I'll probably go with the same as our GTO, 15% for about $125.

Tinting and 3M clear for the front end is a must in my book.

Not sure how current this information is but should give you some idea of what your State laws are regarding tinted windowshttp://home.pcisys.net/~bpc/auto_law/tint/

I'll be getting tint on all windows and a 3m clear bra for the front end. I learned the hard way on my Mazdaspeed 3 that you'll want some sort of protection on your front end if you do a lot of highway driving. They are doing tons of construction where I live and all the dump trucks heave stones all over my hood. 8-(. I'll be going as dark as I can legally have it, which is around 25%. Having tint will be a godsend if you live in a hot area and have a black car with black interior, as it will be a lot cooler. I usually crack my windows a little bit to let the heat circulate out of the vehicle.
