Adding Headers to Solo Exhaust - Issues?

Guys,

I recently purchased the new SOLO Performance Mach-XC Cat-Back Exhaust made especially for the convertible. I haven't installed it yet, mainly because of the the 103+ temps in Houston and a few other reasons - but they will be installed soon along with my Vararam intake.

I mentioned to a fellow H-Town Camaro Club member that I recently bought the Solo exhaust and am also considering adding headers. He mentioned that he has (or had) a Solo exhaust on his coupe and that there are some connection issues when pairing up headers to a Solo exhaust.

Anyone know of these issues or are there issues? Anyone have success stories matching headers to Solos? Any other advice, comments?

BTW - I have a L99

Here is a link to some info on the exhaust I have: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158917

Thanks.

The solo catback should hook up to any header/mid pipe. I have an ls3 with solo mach x and it mated up with a set of Dynatech headers/high flows with no problem. Should be the same for for the vert! Give Jeff at solo a call.

I was planning on giving Solo a call, but I thought I would ask here first.

I had no issues connecting my kooks w/hfc's to my solo mach-x either on my LS3. The whole system (headers to tips) went in like a breeze.

Our short sytem (long tube headers with short connection pipes) will bolt up to any cat back. Maybe he ordered a long system from someone that runs all the way to the rear axle and had to do some cutting?

You shouldn't have any problems. We are a ARH dealer and have installed many systems. If you run into any tech issue feel free to give us a call. We just tuned an arh system today with a catback in a L99 that went from 318 to 360rwhp!!!

You should have no issues with any system that bolts up to the factory catback! If you're thinking about some headers we have a few options that would fit that category. When you're ready conatact us for your Camaro5 discount! For the record, Solo sounds excellent with long tubes!
