Okay guys I am trying to get my deposit back from my dealer that is not willing to dealer trade for the camaro I want to pick up and I'm getting pre-approved right now with the dealer that has the camaro. I will keep you informed

Don't let the dealer keep your money. I had a similar experience when I bought my 2004 Prius a long time ago. (Yes, I know. I own both a Prius and a Camaro. Go fig.)

I ordered a Prius from a dealer, who then told me it would be ~3-4 months until the car arrived. I put down a $500 deposit. A month and a half later I found the EXACT car at another dealership. Well I decided to get that one instead. I called the original dealer about getting my deposit back. He started giving me this crap story of "Oh, can't give you back your deposit since there's no guarantee the car will sell (B.S. because at the time the Prius was a hot seller), since it is a 'custom' order..." blah blah blah. He would not budge on giving back my money. A quick call to the main Toyota office of the region quickly resolved that issue. Got a personal apology from the VP of the regional office, and my money back, AND the dealer who gave me trouble was suspended for a week.

If the dealer gives you trouble, just threaten to call the regional office and have them fix it for you. Because honestly, he can't use the "Well we don't know if the car will sell..." excuse since it IS a Camaro after all.

HEY GUYS!! boy do i have a story for you. + pics and video! the last thing i would ever guess to happen to me today happened. On my way home from picking up my brand new 2012 2SS I got involved in a car accident!!!!

first ever in my entire life. What happened was... Some lady in a kia soul rear-ended a man and then the man hit me. first of all, Thank God no one was seriously hurt! The lady that caused the accident was pretty shook up. I kept saying that it was ok and only material stuff, and wanted to make sure she was ok. then right before the cops got there she started having a seizure. the ambulance, fire department, and police came. There is no major physical damage that I can see to my car. the guy more or less slid into me. I can see a tiny paint chip where the back of the car comes to a point and i can feel a few small dents. I got everyone's name and number's involved and there was a police report taken. i'm gonna take it to the body shop and get it looked at. and we're on the phone with our insurance company right now.

but anyway, I just literally got home. I'll make a thread in the general section later on tonight with videos of the accident... pics of the new car... etc...

Ouch, I am very sorry to hear that you had to go through that....And on the way home in your brand new Camaro. I can't imagine the feeling in your stomach when it all went down and you realized what just happened. But like you said, thank God that no one was seriously hurt. Thats the most important thing. The new car can always be mended at any time. Looking forward to seeing the pics and videos!!!

Wow, That sucks. All this waiting and then on the way home "bang" Glad to hear that it is very minor damage.

Well guys I'm on my way to the dealership to go pick up my car! I just got approved for 3.89 WOW. Going to go sign the papers and head straight to work. It's going to be hard to work without thinking about driving my car lol.
