How about the biggest one. 2010 did not offer a vert.

IF the car has 10K miles in 40 years, it wont make a rats ass difference if has chicklets, the GMPP badge, back up sensors... any of that. It will be worth the same.

The hay day of old cars being worth a ton is OVER... there is never going to be another 69 Camaro or 71 Cuda again... sorry.

The reason being... people THINK there is and they are socking them away.

With the rate of inflation, the devaluation of the the dollar and the number of cars now, the best bang for the buck is to drive it, have fun with it for 10 years then crush it... well maybe thats a bit drastic but seriously, drive the wheels off them!

I like the lack of reading comprehension in this thread.

Some people are commenting on the "I think you mean 2009" post... He was not commenting to the OP about model year 2009 (which obviously there wasnt). He was commenting on the post directly before his where the poster made a mistake and said they stopped the chicklets in September 2010... he meant september 2009...

We can agree to disagree on this cause if this was 1969 all over again and we were driveing 1969 camaro's we would be saying the same thing you are saying now.

I don't know about you but i herd it SO meny times from SO meny people. "Man i should have never got rid of that car worth so much money today". No one can prodict the future true. But history repeats its self and everone thought there 69 in 69 was "just another car and won't be crap in the future" now they go for 40k plus for good ones. I was saying about 2% of all camaros sold the 100,000 and 100,000 of them but still COULD BE VAULE IN THEM

so we can agree to disagree

the earlier 2010's the chevy badge on the trunk had alignment holes, after mid year of the 2010's there were no alignment holes

In Sept 09 the SS were all over the place as far as the chicklets, sensors, and HP Division badges goes. Kinda depends which week it was built, as far as how it was configured. Mine for example was built the third week, and it has no chicklets, has the sensors and HP badge ...

Very interesting! Mine was built on 9/12/09 and has the chicklets, sensors and GM performance badge. I must have one of the last ones that included the chicklets. COOL!

Nightfall, I certainly admire your faith in this, however, you have to take a little stock in what jrhaus76 was saying. You are saying if it was 1969 we would be saying the same thing, etc. etc. I'm not saying that a 2010 would be worth nothing in 20 years, but you have to remember one thing......when the 2010 is 20 years old, the 69 Camaro will be 61 years old and still be the classic to have!!! The heyday of classic cars is over and has been over... your tri-five Chevy's and your muscle of the 60's and early 70's are the heart of the "classic" car era. Everything after that, may be sought after, but does not invoke the classic era. An example, is the Ford Pinto....over 30 years old, but I know of no one who is shelling out big bucks for one.

jrhaus76 even said he went a little overboard with the crush them after 10 years statment, but what he is basically saying, is don't shell out $40,000 for a loaded 2SS/RS and bubble wrap it and put it in storage, hoping it would be worth $100,000 in 20-30 years. Drive it, enjoy it, certainly take care of it, but don't sit on them hoping they will triple in value in a few decades!!!!
