R6P is the Early Order Activity code that appears on your workbench sheet. Since you ordered in February, you should have this on your workbench sheet.

I don't think it shows up on the Workbench Sheet.

This is not rocket science folks.
Read the memo again. It does not say the prices are effective on the 9th. It says that Workbench and Autobook will not be updated with the new prices until the 9th.

Every price change we've seen, it's always taken them a few days after the effective date for the changes to actually be made and updated.

This is what i do not want to hear:
"We're sorry sir, the price went up while your car was in the production line. You now have to pay $xxxx.xx over what we agreed on".

Any thoughts? Dealers?

"how do I know what price i should be protected to"
if the dealer hands them the NEW price and says "it is what it is" what will the defense move be?
i know that there is a price sheet shown from oct 08 on the site but if you print it and take it to a dealer they might say "dont believe everything you see on the internet"

i'm really over a barrel because i have not seen anything real on supplier pricing so i dont even have anything to print and take in. (i'm sure nobody really feels bad for the guys getting supplier pricing)
i just dont want to FINALLY get my supplier pricing and it be more than the original MSRP! LOL

You just took the words from my mouth...was about to ask the same question.

How in the heck are we supposed to be "protected"? The dealers are going to go off of what CURRENT MSRP is when our cars arrive. Proving otherwise is going to be difficult...I doubt printing off a forum thread is going to do much.

I believe there is an old thread about this. We were told it was coming but that we weren't to worry. Let me try and dig it up.

I ordered my car on October 20, 2008. I don't have the R6P code on my build sheet.

The codes that I have are as follows:

1ET37- 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 2dr Cpe 2SS
FE9- Emissions
LS3- Engine
MN6- Transmission
GM3- Axle Ratio
2SS- Preferred Equipment Group
Q9J- Wheels, polished aluminum
GBA- Paint, Black
AE4- Seating Arrangement
AFM- Seat type, black leather appointed
UYE- Audio system
VYV- LPO, Hurst Short-throw shifter

Is this something I should bother my dealer with? I was kind of excited to have a special VIN for pre-ordering.

The Worksheet is not even close to being the buildsheet. There are another 50 RPO codes that will be on your buildsheet / RPO sticker that are not on your Worksheet. It is possible that the R6P will be one of them. Regardless, I have a dealer looking into it for me.

lol Everybody is acting like the stock market just crashed. Its a clear picture!!! If your car is ordered ur good!!!! On the 9th the price will go up!!!!!!!! thats all there is to it!!!! Poor buisness if you ask me!!!!!!! If at any point in time they thought they were goin to have to raise the price then should have done so before announcing it to the world. No if ands or buts!! any additions they chose to add on after was there decision and should have been a bonus.

Thanks very much Hylton. I appreciate you calming some of my Camaro jitters. This is the first time I have ordered a car, so despite all of the great information that is available on Camaro5.com, I am still quite unfamiliar with the process.
