Bah....don't get me started on that....I don't want them to leave. :( However, we did offer to keep our rivalry going and ya'll told us to piss off....so in the end, screw UT. It's just schools after money and the fans get caught in the middle with nothing they can do. Breaking up so many good rivalries pisses me off, all over money.

lol, hey, A&M was invited to get in on this TV channel, they told us no. So they don't have any right to get mad when we go ahead with the channel without them.

I can't honestly say that I think the Longhorn Network was/is a good idea, but using that as an arguing point is worthless.

Now, as far as the profit sharing thing in the league, I've never understood how any of that BS works and why anyone would agree to not split the profits 12 ways evenly. But, whatever.

Meh....I try not to get into it all, whats the point, we have no say anyways. So I'll root for them wherever they go and skip the long ass drive to the road games. Unless of course some of you boys who seem to like long drives so much want to turn it into a Camaro event.

The soon to be Pac 27 already has a network and when TU joins them, the PAC 27 will have to share it's profits with TU, and TU will have to split it's profits...

The reason TAMU didn't want in was due to publicity... TU runs the network, they show the games they want including local HS games... So, the strength added to their recruiting is beyond measureable.... Something has to be wrong when the NCAA and the Big 12 tell them no... They will not air HS games, or other random collegiate games...

And I hated Phil Simms and his cry-baby son Chris. It's almost as bad as the wide receiver from Texas Tech and his ESPN analyst father that got the head coach ousted. I've already forgotten their names

In all honesty, Damon, what I said earlier about the stadium being swallowed up was in jest. My cousin is a freshman at A&M right now, and I had several friends from high school that went to A&M. They turned out only mildly damaged. While I may think that A&M is almost like a cult in some ways, I will always root for them if they're not playing Texas (or if they're not ranked above Texas )

It's all good Justin! My dad went to UT so him and I give each other crap year round. UT got my permanent respect after the bonfire fell and they were nothing but a class act all the way. It's all part of the rivalry which is all in good fun.....which is the main reason I'm so damn mad to lose it. I am still hoping the Big 12 will pull out a miracle and survive intact. Besides....I don't care if you are a longhorn, you still drive one kick ass Camaro. (minus the sticker on the front) Now...lets turn our anger to where it is needed more.....how bout those mustangs?

There was some intent by UT to aire local HS football games, and the Big 12 told them no... I still pull for UT as long as they aren't playing A&M or Alabama... I was born there...

And agreed on the TT item... what a debacle that was...

So... Mickey mouse will be running UT sports from now on..... since Walt Disney owns ESPN...
