Figure out how many miles you drove on that tank of gas.
Divide that number by how many gallons of fuel you put in the car.
Wow I must be old
They got an app for that nowadays.

Perhaps you'd get better mileage if you ran it on all four wheels instead of up on just the two left side ones!

Yea they do! I've been using drivers diary since may, tracks my services as well as fill ups and MPG's. I drive 25 miles 1 way through a dozen traffic lights and average 24.2 mpg.

my 1ss doing in-town driving (lots of stop and go) gets about 15. On the freeway I'm getting 23+ though.

Hardest thing was learning not to just punch it from a stop and to slowly row through the gears at ~1800rpm. Saves so much money, and you get to see the annoying 1-4 shift message all the time.

I'm specifically supporting Chevrolet's. I have no professional experience with other makes.

Yes it's normal. Same way if you reset it and do a standing mile... it'll go way down but slowly creep back up.

The best thing you can do for gas mileage is to be very gentle when accelerating. Also, keeping your rpm's as low as possible. If you drive a manual its much easier. I drive the V8 and these techniques have worked out very well for me.

Miles, Miles, Miles... get at least 4k on before you start complaining about MPG... it gets better after break in.

I was getting 16-18 mpg driving in the city(green light take-offs are my downfall) Since I installed my RotoFab it's gone up to 19-22 mpg in the city. I am eagerly anticipating our trip to florida for the winter to see what the mpg's will be on the freeway!! By the way, last year on the trip to florida & back to mich. the diffrerence between the DIC & the "old fashion way" of figuring mpg was only .02 between both figures!!
