you went to alot of trouble posting all that. Now what does it mean? If it's the original price sheet before any increase we all have that.

Customer order date must be prior to the date of the price increase. That's what it says and I'm holding them to it. My order went in 3/27. Price increase starts the 1st. Hell no one is really talking about this anymore and my dealer thought I was crazy when I asked him about it.

so, if the dealer sold it to you at INVOICE... they would still make about 1K?

hmmm.....

anyway, back to supplier pricing.
i called GM yesterday and they assured me that the 2010 Camaro will have supplier pricing.
guess i'll just wait and see....

GM always offered employee and supplier pricing. Where the question comes in is whether your dealer will honor it. They don't have to.

$$$$$$$$$$

I heard that it is going to be $41,000 for the 2SS and $39,000 for the automatic. Go to youtube and look up motortrends video on the camaro. This price thing is stupid. If you have a $10,000 down payment on a new camaro, your monthly payments will be around $700. That is crazy money to pay for a camaro, a month. I'm not saying the camaro is not one of the best cars that will be comming out this year, but it's not worth $700 a month. I also heard the Z28 is not even comming out. This is really stupid. Chevy needs to rethink this whole camaro thing. The price going up, not comming out with the Z28, not puting longer stripes on the car, things like this should be thought out a littlebit more before the big day. Thats all I'm saying.

normally when a new car comes out, the price of the car is at a reasonable price...once the company finds out how popular the new style/car is, they begin to raise the price accordingly to earn more revenue knowing that people will fork up the extra cash for a hott car...its all about the demand.

Ya if your interest rate is 20%.

With 10k down your payments should be around 450.

Thumbs up Camaro Price Increase

All pre-sold orders are price protected and will not be affected by this increase per our Chevrolet Zone Manager.

Oh man, this is one more thing to stress me out!! The waiting isnt enough?? I have an invoice sheet that says "vehicle to be sold at sticker price". They also wrote up a "window sticker" that outlines the pricing. My 2SS will be 33,430 and then shows all options and prices with a final estimated price that includes TTL. And something called a 'docking fee', not destination fee. And my sales guy gave me my workbench number in an email. I told him I would feel better if I could get all of this info on one sheet - tying all of this together - but he said I couldnt get something like that! So, I guess all I can do is hope that everything works out and I have a new Camaro sometime this summer! Thanks to anyone that listened to me ramble!

Exclamation

I spoke with the general manager at the dealership that I ordered my Camaro thru last week here in California about the upcoming price increase. He informed me that anyone who placed an order before the actual price increase will not have to worry. Whatever the price was on the build sheet when the order was placed is the price that they are going to charge. Now anyone who purchases a Camaro via retail, will be paying the higher amount.
Now I do not expect many camaros to make it to a dealers lot without being pre-sold already so that won't matter anyway.

I have an idea:

If anybody here has access to view an order that has not been pulled for production yet but was a pre-order, would you be able to report back if the price has changed on or after the 9th for that order?

What I mean to say is if the GM system will apply the price increase to every single order or will it be smart enough to apply the increase only to those cars that are not pre-orders?
