Everyone think their car is the best even when it's not. It's like that fail of a thread ZL1 vs GTR all over again.

I think you will find the same ratio of haters for those who prefer BMWs, Audis, etc. who are just as quick to bash 'crappy American cars'. The Camaro has long since been a laughing stock for many of these people and they think they belong to rednecks with mullets. Maybe the 5th gen is slightly more respected but there are still plenty of people out there who would rather die than own a Camaro. That has been my experience anyway.

I would definitely take a 370Z over a LS or LT. I was considering one when buying my SS but I liked the SS better.

I too was deciding between an SS and a 370Z. I love the looks of both, and I think the 370 performs admirably. Its a cool car and runs great. I got nothing but respect for em specially when I see a really clean one with nice rims. They are quick too.

With that being said, i test drove the SS last, and my mind was immediatley made up. it was a choice between a quick 2 seater that i could probably mod a bit and buy nice rims for, or american muscle...

an easy choice to make.

I was thinking of getting a ZL1 but I thought to myself, why on earth would I want another Camaro? Driving the same car over and over again is just boring. If I was the OP I would personally switch it up but at the same time going from a V6 Camaro to a V8 will feel 100X better power wise. You can't beat a muscle car for raw power in that case get a V8 Camaro, but if you care about more than just going in a straight line go for the 370Z. I'm getting a 370Z in a few months to replace my 350Z.

I'm sure you will but I notice that even the V6 owners on this forum seem to think that their car is superior to cars that in reality only the SS/ZL1 are. From what I see it is always the people with the lesser models V6 Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, 328i's etc. All seem to think that their cars are superior to M3's, SRT8's. GT/GT500, SS and even 335i's. The problem I have is the whole idea that owning a Camaro makes you better than anyone regardless of whether is a SS. I have the same problem with everyone else, BMW drivers, Audi drivers so it is not just the people on this forum but I stand beside my beliefs. My favorite personally is the people that buy Base Impreza's or even WRX's (not STI's) and act like they are F&$*ing king of the world.

370Z is a nice ride, I was considering getting one but at the time was way too fat for the little Z. The SS is a little more chub friendly.

lost count on SS and vettes.
+1

But WOW I'm surprised that Z's is that rare in your area.

Back in texas there wus like 5-7 370Z's in my school alone and ALOT more on the road!

And here in oklahoma I have seen like 3-4 370's (two verts) in my neighborhood.

I guess its because it snows there a lot and its not a practical car for many people.

Even in OC there are few on the road. I see about 2-3 a week if that.

i live in a decently rich area, i see a lot of nice cars. but the winters are rough and plus MI is i think is the 4th or 3 state to have the most camaros sold. according to the camaro5 data.

more people here buy stangs and camaros because of it being the automotive state. i think

but yes i see VERY few 370zs. but even with the snow here. i see camaros every where when its not snowing
