Looks like they used the outside of your glass to make a template for the tint...tracing around it w/ a blade...crazy...

It looks like they scored the plastic coating that is on the glass. This is major screw up. Most glass manufacturers state to never use a razor on the glass for just this reason.

Not always true, I have seen it done both ways. Good luck in getting the tint shop to help correct their error.

I can see it on the rear window, and both "back seat" windows. Haven't inspected the front windows too much because I was about to punch a hole in something when I saw the scratches.

Can these scratches be fixed? If so, how?

Wow, that's bad. Mine has some minor ones too....never have been able to fix...

I used to tint windows at a shop years ago, it is always cut on the outside of the glass and I know for a fact that a dull blade made the scratches. I also know that they will never come out but they may be able to buff them so they are not as noticable. For the owner to say they never cut on the outside when it's 100% obvious they did tells me they are trying to get out of fixing it. I would not be happy until I had new glass installed by a qualified bodyshop.

Wow, that's lame. My shop used pre-cut pieces made from their computer on a plotter.

That is obviously the tint guy using a razor blade to cut tint on the outside of your glass as a template. Only he could of done that. These cut marks could not be made my anything or anyone else. Document everything. Make sure he pays for the damage. Otherwise small claims court.

He wasn't saying they don't cut from the outside, he said they don't touch the glass with the blade- but as you can see it's pretty damn obvious they did.
As far as new glass- that's how it looks like it's heading. If they continue to try and get out of this I'll just pick one of the lawyers I'm good friends / family with and have them start pressuring them. My brother in law owns a large law office and I'm sure he can pull some strings for us.

They are at fault and on my 3 day old car I'll accept nothing short of a 100% fix.

You should be able to buff the scratches out. Your tinter didn't use a new blade or he didn't use a stainless steeel blade. I see this a lot around here.
