WTB: Snow tires and Rims

yeah I hear ya. There is a guy locally selling some that he used last year...they are mounted on 20's. He wants 1500 for them....kinda feels a bit steep to me.

I spent 1123 for the Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow tires.
$650 for the 20" rims
$360 for the TPMS sensors


$2133 total for my winter tires back in 2009. It is a pretty good deal actually.

I might be selling my 2SS/RS. If I do and I do not make my second set of winter tires part of the deal, I will sell them separately.

My winter set of tires have the original Midnight Silver rims with TPMS and Yokohama Prada Spec-X all seasons. I have used these tires for the last two Long Island winters with absolutely no issues and they handle almost as well as the Perellis on dry roads. I have 2 to 3 thousand miles on the tires with no signs of wear. The rims do have some road rash.

If I sell them, It will be cash and carry for $1200.00. I live about half way out on Long Island. The problem is, if I don't sell the car, I won't sell the tires. I should know for sure in about a week to ten days. If you want me to keep you informed, PM me.

In order to go through the dealer with 18" LS rims my price was $2200 for winter tires.

I initially went with the $1123 option to put the winter tires on the factory rims, and then back on in the spring.

Thanks to SEMA in the winter I managed to find some SS take offs on Ebay, so I bought them. Then it became the search for the TPMS.

I'd have to look at my receipts to tell you exactly what I paid, but it was $1123 for the tires. $650 for the rims, but another 120 or so for shipping.

I actually found 2 TPMS sensors on ebay from another vehicle, so I got them, and then needed two more. Becky hooked me up for the last two.

I kinda figured I would find used rims/tires around a bit cheaper... than what I saw locally so far.

There is a local set here in MN on Craigs for $1200. 20" OEM Wheels and then Pirelli Snow & Ice tires, brand new.
